Marines Heading to Wall Street to Protect Protesters

This is a war against people who are utilizing their constitutional rights.

Police abuse on Wall Street

(SALEM, Ore.) - The protesters on Wall Street will soon have the protection of United States Marines who will form a human wall between the crowds of tireless protesters and the increasingly unpopular New York cops who continue to appear on YouTube in scenes that twist the insides of patriotic Americans.

Michael Hayne, a Comedian and Columnist who has contributed to NY Times Laugh Lines, guest-blogged for Joe Biden, and writes a column for MSNBC.com affiliated Cagle, wasn't joking when he related the information this weekend on the Website Addicting Info.

The news is welcome, particularly as people continue to learn more about Wall Street and New York City and the nature of the people in the upper echelons.

Not only have Americans watched the players on Wall Street shove the nation's future into their wallets, but there are more specific reasons that the police are behaving in a corrupt manner, they're being paid off by groups like JPMorgan Chase, which recently donated:

"... an unprecedented $4.6 million to the New York City Police Foundation. The gift was the largest in the history of the foundation and will enable the New York City Police Department to strengthen security in the Big Apple." -JPMorgan Chase

Strengthen security?

This is a war against people who are utilizing their constitutional rights.

There are many sayings associated with the United States Marine Corps, and most have something to do with honor and decency and respect for the right things. Sure, many people disapprove of this band of warriors due to the nature of their business, but I personally see it differently, and it would be impossible to do otherwise, as I was once a member of this military group.

At any rate, I like the way Haynes looks at it:

"That’s the type of support that may make an NYPD cop think twice before he decides to go all Tiananmen Square on a group of teenage girls, armed with chalk and cardboard signs (maybe it’s because they are spelled properly?).

"The Occupy Wall Street movement may have thought it broke new ground when the NYC Transit Union joined their movement, but that ground just tipped the Richter Scale with news that United States Army and Marine troops are reportedly on their way to various protest locations to support the movement and to protect the protesters."

Here’s the message Ward Reilly relayed from another Marine, on his facebook page:

“I’m heading up there tonight in my dress blues. So far, 15 of my fellow marine buddies are meeting me there, also in Uniform. I want to send the following message to Wall St and Congress:I didn’t fight for Wall St. I fought for America. Now it’s Congress’ turn.

My true hope, though, is that we Veterans can act as first line of defense between the police and the protester. If they want to get to some protesters so they can mace them, they will have to get through the Fucking Marine Corps first. Let’s see a cop mace a bunch of decorated war vets.I apologize now for typos and errors.

Typing this on iPhone whilst heading to NYC. We can organize once we’re there. That’s what we do best.If you see someone in uniform, gather together.

A formation will be held tonight at 10PM.

We all took an oath to uphold, protect and defend the constitution of this country. That’s what we will be doing.

Hope to see you there!!”

Remember, the Occupy Wall Street protests in other cities are getting underway, Seattle is already active and the Portland, Oregon event starts later this week.

We Can’t Make It Here Anymore (Occupy Wall Street)

Will work for food will die for oil
Will kill for power and to us the spoils
The billionaires get to pay less tax
The working poor get to fall through the crack

By James McMurtry

Lyrics

We Can’t Make It Here Anymore

There’s a Vietnam Vet with a cardboard sign
Sitting there by the left turn line
Flag on his wheelchair flapping in the breeze
One leg missing and both hands free
No one’s paying much mind to him
The V.A. budget’s just stretched so thin
And now there’s more coming back from the Mideast war
We can’t make it here anymore

That big ol’ building was the textile mill that fed our kids and it paid our bills
But they turned us out and they closed the doors
We can’t make it here anymore

See those pallets piled up on the loading dock
They’re just gonna sit there ‘til they rot
‘Cause there’s nothing to ship, nothing to pack
Just busted concrete and rusted tracks
Empty storefronts around the square
There’s a needle in the gutter and glass everywhere
You don’t come down here unless you’re looking to score
We can’t make it here anymore

The bar’s still open but man it’s slow
The tip jar’s light and the register’s low
The bartender don’t have much to say
The regular crowd gets thinner each day
Some have maxed out all their credit cards
Some are working two jobs and living in cars
Minimum wage won’t pay for a roof, won’t pay for a drink
If you gotta have proof just try it yourself Mr. CEO
See how far $5.15 an hour will go
Take a part time job at one your stores
Bet you can’t make it here anymore

There’s a high school girl with a bourgeois dream
Just like the pictures in the magazine
She found on the floor of the laundromat

A woman with kids can forget all that
If she comes up pregnant what’ll she do
Forget the career, forget about school
Can she live on faith? Live on hope?
High on Jesus or hooked on dope
When it’s way too late to just say no
You can’t make it here anymore

Now I’m stocking shirts in the Wal-Mart store
Just like the ones we made before
‘ Cept this one came from Singapore
I guess we can’t make it here anymore

Should I hate a people for the shade of their skin
Or the shape of their eyes or the shape I’m in
Should I hate ‘em for having our jobs today
No I hate the men sent the jobs away
I can see them all now, they haunt my dreams
All lily white and squeaky clean
They’ve never known want, they’ll never know need
Their shit don’t stink and their kids won’t bleed
Their kids won’t bleed in their damn little war
And we can’t make it here anymore

Will work for food will die for oil
Will kill for power and to us the spoils
The billionaires get to pay less tax
The working poor get to fall through the cracks
So let ‘em eat jellybeans let ‘em eat cake
Let ‘em eat shit, whatever it takes
They can join the Air Force, or join the Corps
If they can’t make it here anymore

So that’s how it is, that’s what we got
If the president wants to admit it or not
You can read it in the paper, read it on the wall
Hear it on the wind if you’re listening at all
Get out of that limo, look us in the eye
Call us on the cell phone tell us all why

In Dayton Ohio or Portland Maine
Or a cotton gin out on the great high plains
That’s done closed down along with the school
And the hospital and the swimming pool
Dust devils dance in the noonday heat
There’s rats in the alley and trash in the street
Gang graffiti on a boxcar door
We can’t make it here anymore

The only problem with this story is active duty military could not participate in such a way without risking the most severe consequences.....retired, yes. Active duty....not likely....and certainly not in uniform.

I AM SO PROUD OF YOU! THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE TO OUR COUNTRY.

Scott October 7, 2011 2:42 pm (Pacific time)

I'm a bit misty-eyed now. These Marines have served their country enough overseas. Serving Americans directly like this is truly going above and beyond the call of duty!

I have been watching this sad debacle of corrupt politicans workng for capricious bankers and businessman. Bankers who worked to load the citizens with debt and create the ponzi-scheme housing bubble, and cruel businessmen who shipped out American blue collar and white collar jobs, so that they could collect their bonuses. I thought that America was too lazy and sedated; lulled into stupor with dreams of bigger houses and flashier cars and new toys, and that it would take another 20 years of suffering before the people of the USA awakens to it's crisis, before people of the USA are ready for their struggle in Tahrir Square ( or a Libya moment). But I am wrong. After Pearl Harbour, General Yammotto had said that all the Japanese attack had achieved was to awaken the sleeping Giant. I am glad to see the sleeping Giant awaken again; and the sleepng Giant of America is the Spirit of Truth and Justice, and the strength to do what is right. I am glad that I am wrong about America.

I commend all actions against those looters on wallstreet. They have to be made accountable with their personal wealth for all the losses incurred due to their speculative activities simply to enrich themselves. They will continue as long as they can get away with the loot. Only when they realize that they cant get away with their loot, will they stop looting.

I have not been proud of my country since about 1966...but this makes me proud. You go Marines, this is what you are supposed to do, not wage unfounded wars! It actually brought tears of joy to my eyes. Thank you. And anyone who thinks these protests should not happen....well, may you reap your karma.

"These protesters are hard working middle class people that pay taxes, and contrubute to the economy of this great country." This statement is a joke. Logically, hard working middleclass people are working...it is the mindless idiots who are under control of the leftists that are out there carrying the water for the enemy...they will have some tecture of reality coming to them real soon...

Jason Marcel October 4, 2011 11:15 am (Pacific time)

My friends, it is the plan of the powerful to frame the story as a bunch of commie pinko weirdos raising hell when this is not the case whatsoever. Those arrested on the Bridge, as they were being arrested, were telling the cops, "We're fighting for you too! We're fighting for your pensions!".

The top 1% expect to turn us on ourselves. Well, maybe for a little while, but only long enough for the masses to move in and find that they have a lot in common.

I think we're watching history in the making.

DJ: I've long been critical of democracy because people can usually be counted on to vote against their own best interests. Perhaps you're right about this Jason. I hope so, and would like to see the people actually united in supporting their own cause.

Vic October 4, 2011 9:46 am (Pacific time)

I hope this is for real ! I'd say if anyone ought to be fed up, it should be the men and women in the military who are used as pawns to further the goals of the industrialist billionaires, paid virtually nothing and discarded when broken. God bless any of them willing to stand up for what is right and against what is wrong !

Rui October 4, 2011 5:51 am (Pacific time)

Go Americans! Portugal is with you to, together we'll make it!!! ;)

aka October 3, 2011 5:44 pm (Pacific time)

These protesters are hard working middle class people that pay taxes, and contrubute to the economy of this great country. They protest peacefully and do not deserve to be treated like criminals. The right to protest is a contitutional right, regardless of thier motives. Ignorance is not bliss... read..the bill of right...

Anonymous October 3, 2011 3:39 pm (Pacific time)

Who are they protecting? If protesters followed instructions....the Brooklyn bridge arrests would have never happened. It is wrong to utilize brave soldiers as a wall to further encourage stupidity. I am not against the protest but its wrong to label the police as the bad guys and to hide behind the men and woman who gave there all. Don;t forget that half the Police force are military, as well.

TF October 3, 2011 12:23 pm (Pacific time)

All forces should go to protect these protesters. My father and brother didn't fight wars for these out of control banksters and wall street crooks!

Anonymous October 3, 2011 9:30 am (Pacific time)

The propaganda factory in DC has already cranked up to rock-and-roll afterburner and is trying to claim that the protesters are really working for George Soros and are trying to establish a totalitarian dictatorship under Obama. The money-junkies must really be scared to try that desperate a hoax. Folks, use your common sense. Who BENEFITS by scaring you away from supporting the OccupyAMERICA movement? Obama and the existing totalitarian government. The fastest way to bring down a dictatorship is to force them to act like one where everyone can see it! The oligarchs of America cannot move militarily against the protesters without advertising to the rest of the nation that the protesters are correct when they declare the US Government has become a fascist police state. More to the point, why would protesters marching against financial totalitarianism of the Federal Reserve call for more totalitarianism under a President who failed to keep him promise to reverse the economic course of the nation. But this appears to be the current White House and media spin to sabotage public support for the OccupyAMERICA movement, and we saw similar attempts in Iceland and Egypt. The claim that Soros is behind OccupyAMERICA also makes no sense. Revolutions are not started by the people for whom the old corrupt system works. Revolutions are started (and won) by the people for whom the old corrupt system has failed!! "No, really, things will be much worse under that 'Congress' forming up in Philadelphia! They're gonna be MUCH worse than I ever was. They'll make you drink coffee instead of tea, for chrissakes! That Jefferson and his buddies, Hancock and Franklin (talk about a pushy bastard); they'll wreck the place if you let them!" -- King George III, presumably somewhere around 1775

Arlen, you are either a schill, or a brainwashed person who only reads one website and does NO critical thinking on their own. 1. The wall street/fed res system is what made Soros rich, and continues to do so. To think he is funding anything is ludicrous. 2. Now they even have a few people out there with "global warming signs". 3. The fact is: I DO my homework, and I do my research. I know people in new york and I get pictures and updates regularly. DO you? No you dont, you just read the same websites everyday and trust them without doing your own homework. There were THREE people out there with global warming signs, and thousands with "end the fed" signs..Guess who the media (and the websites arlen visits) focused on? Yep, the three people, and that Soros started this HOAX!!! And YOU believed it? God help us all. Soros is not going to bite the hand that feeds him dork. The thing is, the bankers, and the presstitutes are scared to death of Ron Paul, so they will lie, cheat, steal, anything they can to keep people from realizing the truth about the worst act of terrorism this country has ever seen. The bankers. You fell for the propaganda arlen, you should do your OWN critical thinking and homework..

Hey Sarah go ask these protestors what replaces capitalism? Or better yet, ask them what kind of government do they want, and how do they secure that type of government? Would it have law enforcement personnel to protect innocents from violent protestors who probably never worked a day in their lives? So what's the endgame for people like Soros? Ask those who convicted him for felony crimes in Europe, and how he makes his money...

Jon October 3, 2011 8:28 am (Pacific time)

+1 to Sarah for her eloquence. -3 to Arlen Williams for his foolishness.

Jon October 3, 2011 8:26 am (Pacific time)

Must agree with Sarah that Arlen Williams is a fool.

Jason Carlie October 3, 2011 6:15 am (Pacific time)

You should see some of the "in-the-street" interviews with these protestors, aka, mostly unkempt anarchist-types. Most have no idea what they are there for...just "useful idiots." As bad as the protestors were in the 60's, these clowns (Soros is one of their financial backers btw), make those lowlifes look civilized. This goes beyond 1st Amendment rights, these dirtbags are causing violence and many criminal acts. As far as Marines in dress blues going there, give me a break. Hell most of the cops are ex-military combat veterans (are you King? You know something of interacting with real violence on this mob level? It ain't a game for wannabes), and there is much video showing the criminal assaults on the police, so many of the propagandists are just showing the cops lawful reactions AND MAKING IT OUT THAT THEY ARE THE PRIMARY AGGRESSORS. Responsible media is reporting this accurately. In terms of the so-called greed, money that is redistributed in the economy, it is Obama and the democrats that get the largest political donations. Many people are always on the wrong side, that is why their lives are so messed up. My hope is that these anarchists will start using firearms, then they can deal with them like they should have done with their scummy parents and grandparents years ago. Especially those Kent U. criminals, and maybe these protestors include some of those who should not have survived. Am praying for that accountibility. Go look up the American Communist Manifesto and see the future behavior of this filth. They are the criminals, and in the fullness of time that will be common knowledge. The opinions of the leftist are irrelevant, and have always been irrelevant as is their existence which is coming to a close, hopefully very soon. Most of these protestor's have not even ever been employed.

Sarah October 3, 2011 5:33 am (Pacific time)

@Arlen Williams. You are a fool. If a citizen can no longer peacefully protest (for whatever reason, even if YOU don't like it), then you have much more to worry about than Soros or his "Marxist revolutionaries". The first amendment of our constitution PROHIBITS interfering with our right to peaceably assemble or petition for a governmental redress of grievances. With the 4.6 million dollars from JPMorgan Chase, surely the NYPD can invest in some American History refresher courses so their officers no longer feel justified in their anger toward these civilians exercising their constitutional rights. Also, just because you've got a website littered with bitter diatribe and impotent attacks on liberal Americans, this does not mean you have "the correct information". You're spreading fear and hate.

Arlen Williams October 3, 2011 4:04 am (Pacific time)

These protesters are not patriots, the entire thing is orchestrated (with Soros money) by a band of revolutionary Marxist. Get the correct information: http://gulagbound.com/tag/days-of-rage/
