(CENTRAL POINT) - Investigators are releasing the photograph of 47-year old Darin Lynn Drake, a of homicide victim whose body was discovered Friday morning in a field about 100 feet west of Interstate 5 near the Central Point interchange. Investigators hope the photograph release will help the public with providing information related to this investigation. Mr. Drake is described as a white male, 5'6" tall, 135 pounds, brown eyes, bald head, and numerous tatoos. He was wearing blue jeans, gray t-shirt, and a light green baseball style hat with a small front bill. Mr. Drake was last seen Thursday, September 28th, at 7:15 PM in the area of a 7/11 Store in Central Point about 1/4 mile from the location where he was found. His body wsa discovered September 29th at approximately 11:20 AM. Investigators responded to a report that two individuals found a deceased male in a field about 100 feet west of Interstate 5 near milepost 33. An autopsy performed Saturday indicated Mr. Drake was assaulted and the victim of a homicide. The manner and cause of death are not being released at this time. Jackson County Major Crime Team investigators seek the public's help in developing leads in the case. Detectives assigned to the Jackson County Major Crime Team represent Oregon State Police, Jackson County Sheriff's Office, Central Point Police Department, and Medford Police Department.
