UPDATE: Shooter is Dead after Killing 10, Wounding 7 at Umpqua Community College

A 911 call came into the Douglas County emergency services at 10:38 a.m. alerting authorities of an active shooter at Umpqua Community College in Roseburg.

A witness said on Twitter: Gunman "asked people to stand up and state their religion and then started firing." (http://usat.ly/1RiMctY)

According to CNN:

The suspect was a 20-year-old man, according to Oregon Gov. Kate Brown. Investigators are examining social media postings they believe were made by the suspect, according to a source with knowledge of the investigation.

“We arrived to find multiple patients in multiple classrooms. Law enforcement was on scene and had the shooter neutralized,” Douglas County Fire Marshal Ray Shoufler told CNN.

He said that two patients died while being transported to a hospital.

The shooting appears to have started in one building before the gunman moved to the school’s science building, the source told CNN. Those killed and wounded were found in at least two classrooms.

13 are confirmed dead by the State Attorney General Rosenblum, and there are 20 wounded, many critically.

"There's no more threat," the Sheriff told KOIN 6.

It appears, at this time, there was one shooter. The shooter is among the dead. He died in an exchange of gunfire with the police.

It took place at Building 12 at Schneider Hall, the English hall.

The hospital in Roseburg does not have resources to handle a tragedy of this capacity, and some patients are being sent to Eugene and Medford.

Students and faculty are being evacuated to the Douglas county fairgrounds. Counselors, Pastors and other support staff are at Douglas Hall, waiting for the evacuees.

Wednesday night, the gunman may have posted on the 4Chan website which guarantees anonymity to its users. There is a suspicious post that has not been confirmed as the shooter, but it reads:

The FBI and various state agencies are involved. At least one of the patients transported to the hospital was 18 years old.
