Small airplane makes emergency landing in Battle Ground

(Battle Ground, Wash.) - Battle Ground Police responded to an airplane making an emergency landing in the city limits. The airplane, privately owned and single engine, landed after the pilot experienced engine problems. The pilot was alone in the airplane and was not injured during the landing in an open field at approximately 1100 blk of SW 20th Ave. The pilot is from Lake Stevens, Washington and is not being identified.

The airplane is unable to fly from the field due to the terrain and will be towed from the location on 10-02-10. The airplane was not damaged during the incident.
