To Justify Profits, Pain Physicians Say Just About Anything

As members of the U.S. Senate Finance Committee and DEA celebrate Thanksgiving this week, I hope they envision empty chairs at dining room tables in countless homes whose family members are either dead or addicted because of the rules of a very cruel game called "pay to play".

(MYRTLE BEACH, SC) - Chronic pain is pain that lingers even if you are no longer ill or injured and other criminal statements the medical profession is being fed by profiteers in a "pay to play" scheme.

Last week I wrote about the Veterans Administration and the American Chronic Pain Association ties to the FDA "pay to play" scandal with the pharmaceutical industry.  Link to the article http://www.salem-news.com/articles/november172013/dod-pay-play-ms.php.

This week Lynn Webster, MD, under U.S. Senate investigation as well as Drug Enforcement Agency DEA investigation for deaths at his pain clinic in Salt Lake City, Utah posted the following on Twitter.

Opioid Safety PSA from the American Chronic Pain Association http://bit.ly/I7WHSH (click on link shown and then click on What is Chronic Pain) presented by a physician named Ed Covington, MD and Director of Chronic Pain Rehabilitation at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio.

I still haven't figured out if Webster thinks he is "untouchable" by the U.S. Senate or the D.E.A --.or if he is so narcissistic that he just throws things out to see what the medical profession will buy -- or "pay to play."

Dr. Covington has a consulting agreement with Purdue Pharma, maker of OxyContin marketed by them as non-addictive and the CEO's pleaded guilty in Federal Court to marketing lies resulting in unprecedented deaths and addiction throughout the U.S. and Canada -- referred to as an epidemic for the past decade plus.

In the video by Covington, you will view the following comments proudly presented by him as well as endorsed by Webster and the American Chronic Pain Association you will see and hear reference to "chronic pain" and how they describe it. I urge you to view the short video and question why the U.S. Senate and the D.E.A. has not taken action against all these players in a lucrative game of "pay to play" with the losers of the game dead or addicted.

Here are some highlights from the American Chronic Pain Association video that should send red flares up to the U.S. Senate and the D.E.A. in their respective investigations.  The F.D.A. has no interest in seeing any red flares -- not while they are participants in the "pay to play" game where the winner takes lives in the tens of thousands as well as financial reward:

Chronic pain exists in the absence of apparent causes.

Chronic pain is pain that lingers even if you are no longer ill or injured.

Part of the problem with chronic pain is that when we start looking for an explanation -- it's not so much that we're looking in the wrong place -- but we may be looking in the wrong time.  It may be necessary to look at an illness that went away years ago.

Some of the players involved in the "pay to play" scandal with the high stakeholder being the F.D.A. are as follows -- and all leading to the front door of the American Chronic Pain Association:

  • Robert Dworkin, PhD, University of Rochester - on the Advisory Board of the American Chronic Pain Association
  • Dennis Turk, PhD, University of Washington - on the Advisory Board of the American Chronic Pain Association
  • Robert D. Kerns, PhD, Veterans Administration - on the Advisory Board of the American Chronic Pain Association
  • J. David Haddox, DDS, MD - Purdue Pharma - maker of OxyContin responsible for a Holocaust of deaths and addictions in the tens of thousands -- and on the Advisory Board of the American Chronic Pain Association.

So as the members of the U.S. Senate Finance Committee and the Drug Enforcement Agency prepare to celebrate Thanksgiving dinner this week, I hope they have a vision of the empty chairs at dining room tables at countless homes in the U.S. and Canada whose family members are either dead or addicted because of the rules of a very cruel game called "pay to play" -- and the parts the F.D.A., the American Chronic Pain Association and the individuals who profited in a "game of death" played as true grim reapers while lining their pockets with blood money.

LP - Being right twice in one week and hearing the words you so love me to say. Thanks -- you are the better and I'm prepared for the poem -- again.
