(Salem, Oregon) - Volunteers with the American Red Cross responded to a house fire Monday evening, November 22nd, in the 1900 block of Crozer Street NW in Salem. The fire was reported at approximately 5:30pm. All tenants were able to escape the fire and no injuries were reported. Red Cross volunteers provided 2-adults with shelter and emotional support. How to Help: In Oregon, the American Red Cross shelters, feeds and provides emotional support to victims of disaster every 20 hours; supplies more than 90 percent of Oregon's blood; teaches thousands of Oregonians lifesaving skills; provides international humanitarian aid; and supports military members and their families. The Red Cross is a charitable organization – not a government agency – and depends on volunteers and the generosity of the American public to perform its mission.
