OSP Traffic Stop Leads to 6 Lbs. of Marijuana, Arrest Of Boise, Idaho Woman

(LAKEVIEW, Ore) - A Boise, Idaho woman was arrested late Saturday by an Oregon State Police (OSP) trooper with the assistance of Lakeview Police Department during a traffic stop in Lakeview when approximately 6 lbs. of marijuana was found in the vehicle. The OSP Drug Enforcement Section is assisting during the follow-up investigation.

According to OSP Sergeant Steve Yates, on Saturday at approximately 10:55 p.m. an OSP trooper stopped a 2010 Dodge Avenger displaying Idaho license plates on Highway 395 near milepost 143 for an unlawful left turn. The driver was identified as Julianne Nicole Stewart, age 25, from Boise, Idaho.

Subsequent investigation during the traffic stop led to the discovery and seizure of approximately 6 lbs. of marijuana concealed inside the vehicle. Estimated value of the seized marijuana is $15,000.

Stewart was arrested without incident and lodged at the Lake County Jail for felony Unlawful Possession and Distribution of a Controlled Substance - Marijuana.
