Veteran's Car Stolen While Attending Salem-area Memorial Service

(SALEM, Oregon) - A 28-year military veteran had his car stolen while attending a Veteran's Day memorial service in the Salem Capitol Mall area. Oregon State Police (OSP) is asking for the public's help to find the vehicle and locate the person(s) responsible for its theft.

According to OSP Sergeant Scott Lorimor, on November 11, 2010 between 2:55 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. someone stole a dark green 1996 Honda Accord four-door displaying Oregon license TED 916. The car's owner, a 67-year old Salem man, parked the car in the Veteran's Building parking lot. While he attended a memorial his car was stolen.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Sergeant Lorimor at (503) 986-1121.

A photograph of a similar year, make and model of the stolen vehicle is provided with this release.
