(SALEM, Ore.) - Informed sources say that differences between the two political allies in Lebanon; Lebanese Forces and Al-Mustaqbal Movement, were exacerbated after new Saudi rulers came to power.

After King Abdullah's death and by the time King Salman came to the throne, significant changes in regional allies of the Saudis in Lebanon and the region took place.

Lebanese Forces competing with the Al-Mustaqbal movement could attract more support from King Salman and Mohammed bin Salman.

The al-Mustaqbal movement leader, Saad Hariri, did not succeed in winning the House of Saud's confidence for the continuation of financial aid.

During the past months Lebanon’s political arena witnessed conflict between these two parties. Leaders of the two parties disagree on most subjects and they do not pursue any common policy.

It is worth mentioning that those differences have actually resulted in the closure of the March 14 General Secretariat.
