Worldwide Movement to End Human Violence Will Launch 11 November

The People's Charter also identifies the actions that will need to be taken to end this violence and invites people to commit to taking these actions.

(ARCATA, Calif.) - On 11 November 2011, the 93rd anniversary of the armistice of World War 1, a new movement to end human violence will be launched around the world.

The movement will be launched simultaneously in six countries: Australia, Germany, Ghana, Malaysia, the Philippines and the United States.

In Seattle The People’s Charter to Create Nonviolent World will be signed at the Garden of Remembrance, a plaza adjacent to Benaroya Hall on Second Avenue at University Street, on Friday, 11 Nov. 2011 at 11:00 A.M.

The People's Charter identifies most of the major forms of violence that occur in the world, ranging from war to domestic violence and from environmental destruction to exploitation of the peoples of Africa, Asia and Central/South America.

The People's Charter also identifies the actions that will need to be taken to end this violence and invites people to commit to taking these actions. People can learn more and will be able to sign the pledge at the People’s Charter Website.
