Portland Police Arrest Raymond Hetman

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Portland East Precinct Officers stopped a vehicle last night at approximately 6:00 p.m. near Southeast 168th Avenue and Southeast Powell Boulevard. Officers received information that 27-year-old Raymond Hetman was in the vehicle prior to being stopped by police.

Hetman had a Parole Violation Warrant and was being sought for questioning by police with regard to Kidnap allegations made by his girlfriend.

When Officers contacted the occupants of the vehicle a female in the car told Officers it was Raymond Hetman who had just run from the vehicle into a nearby apartment complex.

Sergeant Deb Steigleder quickly drove through the neighborhood and located a subject matching Hetman's description. Sergeant Steigleder confirmed the description and the subject, positively identified as Raymond Hetman, was taken into custody.

Hetman was lodged in the Downtown Multnomah County Facility on the Parole Violation Warrant. The Eugene Police Department will continue the investigation into the recent Kidnap allegations made by Hetman's girlfriend to the Washington County Sheriff's Office.
