(SALEM) - A Salem woman is in custody today for sending police on what amounts to a wild goose chase Wednesday night. Salem Police say 21-year-old Paradise Lynn Rodgers was located after 911 dispatchers received at least nine calls from the woman saying she was being held against her will in a car by a man. The first call came in around 6:15 PM.

Rodgers, who is currently on probation for filing a false police report, told police at one point that she was being held in a car. In one call, the caller allegedly said she was being held in the trunk of a car.

Police traced the cell phone to an address on Royalty Drive NE, but that was not where the person making the calls was located.

Around 8:50 PM Salem Police caught up with Rodgers. She told them she did it as a dare and thought it would be funny.

Paradise Rodgers is already on probation for filing a false police report; she now faces a number of charges in relation to the falsely initiated police report. Those charges include nine counts of improper use of the 911 system, five counts of initiating a false police report, five counts of disorderly conduct and one count of reckless endangerment. She was arrested and transported to the Marion County Jail.

You know this pic seems photoshopped I mean that mole is obviously duplicated in several places, but do you notice the big bruise on her cheek? now I was with her when she was arrested and that wasn't there, she was in police custody since the last I Last saw her. and last I heard the charges were dropped because her voice did not match the calls in tests done by the District Attorneys office. SO, not guilty and no meth

Editor: For the record, we did not modify this photo
