(GRESHAM) - The American Teen Television Network made a new stride for young people last Sunday. The group hosted the 2006 Gubernatorial Youth Forum on May 7th at the Metro East Television Studios in Gresham. According to Austin Reed, ATTN Producer, `The purpose of the forum is to encourage young adults to participate in the process of voting. It also gives the candidates insight into the concerns of young adults." Students from Portland State, Multnomah Bible College, Concordia, Reed, and area high schools were in attendance to ask questions of the candidates including: Jim Hill (D), Pete Sorenson (D), Ben Westlund (I), W. Ames Curtright (R), Gordan Leitch (R), Bob Forthan (R), and William Spidal (R). Salem area residents are invited to watch the 2006 Gubernatorial Youth Forum on KWVT Channel 52 (UHF) Thursday, May 11th at 7:30 PM, or Saturday, May 13th at 1:00 PM.
