Chemawa Road West of I-5 to Close for 56 Hours May 12th-15th for Railroad Work

(KEIZER) - Chemawa Road west of I-5 will be closed for 56 hours May 12th-15th to allow for alterations to the railroad-highway grade crossing at Chemawa Road and Stadium Drive in Keizer.

The work is part of overall transportation infrastructure changes to accommodate the Keizer Station development. Portland and Western Railroad, Inc. will be doing the work.

The closure is located on Chemawa Road just west of the I-5/Chemawa interchange, between Stadium Drive and Keizer Station Boulevard. The closure begins at 9:00 PM on Friday, May 12th and ends at 5:00 AM on Monday, May 15th.

Keizer Station Boulevard and Stadium Drive will remain open to through traffic and can be used to detour around the closure. Motorists can use these roads to reach Chemawa Road eastbound and Lockhaven Road westbound.
