POLICE HAD CONDUCTED AN UNDERCOVER OPERATION AFTER GETTING A TIP THAT THE WOMEN WERE POSTING ADS ON CRAIGSLIST-DOT-COM FOR SEX. OFFICERS SET UP TIMES TO MEET THE WOMEN. THAT`S WHEN THEY WERE ARRESTED. THE MARION COUNTY PUBLIC SAFETY COUNCIL IS PARTNERING WITH THE SALEM-KEIZER VOLCANOES FOR THE FIRST ANNUAL STRIKING OUT METH IN MARION COUNTY. THE EVENT WILL BE HELD ON JULY 14TH AT 6:00 PM AT VOLCANOES STADIUM IN KEIZER. THE MEN GOT AWAY WITH AN UNDISCLOSED AMOUNT OF CASH. THE WOMAN WAS ABLE TO FREE HERSELF AND CALL 911. THE MEN FLED ON FOOT. THE SUSPECTS ARE DESCRIBED AS IN THEIR LATE TEENS TO EARLY 20`S. ONE WAS SHORT WITH A STOCKY BUILD, THE OTHER WAS TALLER. ANYONE WITH INFORMATION IS URGED TO CONTACT SALEM POLICE 503-588-6050. POST OFFICES, BANKS, SCHOOLS, GOVERENMENT OFFICES, AND THE SALEM LIBRARY WILL BE CLOSED ON MEMORIAL DAY. CHERRIOTS WILL OPERATE ON THEIR HOLIDAY SCHEDULE. POLICE SAY THE VICTIM WAS ABLE TO KICK HER ATTACKER, BREAK FREE, AND GET AWAY. THE ALLEGED ATTACKER IS DESCRIBED AS A HISPANIC MALE, IN HIS MID 30`S, 5`5 TO 5`8, 150 POUNDS, WITH A MUSTACHE AND SMALL PATCH OF HAIR UNDER HIS BOTTOM LIP. ANYONE WITH INFORMATION ON THE SUSPECT OR HIS WHEREABOUTS IS URGED TO CONTACT THE MARION COUNTY SHERIFF`S OFFICE AT 503-540-8007 THE OFFICES OF OREGON LAWMAKERS WERE AMONG THOSE LOCKDOWN FRIDAY AS CAPITOL POLICE LAUNCHED A FLOOR-BY-FLOOR SEARCH OF A HOUSE OFFICE BUILDING. THIS, AFTER AN UNIDENTIFIED CALLER REPORTED GUNFIRE. DEMOCRATIC REPRESENTATIVE EARL BLUMENAURE WAS IN HIS OFFICE IN THE RAYBURN BUILDING AT THE TIME OF THE LOCKDOWN.
