F-15 Jet Fighter Flyovers Scheduled for Monday

(SALEM) - The Oregon Air National Guard will salute America's fallen heroes and veterans Memorial Day with flyovers for various ceremonies at locations throughout Oregon and Southwest Washington.

Two F-15 Eagle jet fighters from the 142nd Fighter Wing will depart the Portland Air Base. One jet will fly over community events in Southern Oregon and the other will cover the Portland and Southwest WA area at the following times and locations:

Monday , May 29 10:00 Portland Yacht Club 10:10 Willamette National Cemetery 10:15 Oregon City Mountain View Cemetery 10:25 Independence Airport 10:27 Benton County Belle Passi Cemetery 10:50 Mt. Angel Calvary Cemetery 11:00 Tualatin Winoma Cemetery 11:03 Beaverton Memorial Park 11:06 Scappoose Heritage Park 11:09 Woodland Veteran's Memorial, WA 11:15 Forest Grove Forest View Cemetery 11:30 Vernonia Memorial Cemetery 11:40 Gresham Forest Lawn Cemetery

11:00 Klamath Falls 11:15 Brookings 11:30 Medford Siskiyou Memorial Park 11:32 Eagle Point Cemetery 11:45 Canyonville 11:48 Roseburg 11:50 Glide 12:15 Grants Pass Riverside Park

All passes will be approximately 1,000 feet above ground level and 350 knots airspeed. Flights could be cancelled or times changed due to inclement weather or operational contingencies.

The Oregon Air National Guard has been an integral part of the nation's air defense since 1941. The 142nd Fighter Wing maintains continuous alert with F-15's from Portland as part of the Western Air Defense System. For more information please visit www.orport.ang.af.mil
