(VANCOUVER, Wa.) - Detectives from the Vancouver Police Department Major Crimes Team charged 19-year old Stetzon W. Sharp today in connection with one count of Controlled Substance Homicide. This is the result of the investigation into the death of Shelby Howard on May 5th, 2007.

During the investigation, detectives say they learned that Sharp had allegedly threatened his girlfriend with a handgun on the morning of May 4th.

Detectives served a search warrant on Sharp's vehicle and recovered a handgun.

Stetzon Sharp was arrested on May 10th on one count of First Degree Kidnap, one count of First Degree Assault, and unlawful possession of a firearm.

He has been housed in the Clark County Jail since his arrest. He was rebooked today on the additional count of Controlled Substance Homicide.

Earlier this week, Detectives received the findings from the Office of the Oregon Medical Examiner in Portland, who listed Shelby Howard's cause of death as "ecstasy (MDNA) toxicity".
