Salem, Mid-Valley Weekly Road Construction and Weather Report

This week's weather forecast is a mixed bag of sun and rain.

(SALEM, Ore. ) - Here is the latest Salem and Mid-Willamette Valley road construction projects set to begin this week, along with a weekly weather outlook from Salem-News.com.

Please make a note of these projects, and if your commute takes you thru one of these workzones, PLEASE! slow down, and allow extra time to get to your destination.

If possible, use an alternate route.

Salem-Area Road Construction Report:

Salem Heights Ave S Between Liberty Rd S and Winola Ave S. Monday thru Tuesday, 8:30 AM 3:30 PM. Salem Heights Avenue between Liberty Road S and Winola Avenue S will be closed to thru traffic. A detour route using Liberty Road S, Madrona Avenue S, and Winola Avenue S will be in place.

Cherry Avenue NE between Salem Industrial Drive NE and Salem Parkway NE will be reduced to one lane of traffic with flaggers Monday thru Thursday, from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. This closure is for patching and paving of the roadway at this location.

Salem Heights Ave S Between Liberty Rd S and Winola Ave S. Wednesday thru Friday, 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Lane closure with flaggers for utility work.

Polk County Road Construction Report:

The following roads will be affected by some type of construction work or paving between the hours of 6:00 AM and 7:00 PM. Weather permitting.

Rogers Road will be paved between Hwy 99 and Hwy 51 Monday. Pilot cars will be used and travelers should expect up to a 20 minute delay. No work will be done on Saturday or Sunday.

Greewood Road - South will be paved between Hwy 51 and Rickreall Rd starting Tuesday thru Wednesday. Pilot cars will be used and travelers should expect up to a 20 minute delay.

Greewood Road - North will be paved starting Monday thru Friday. Pilot cars will be used and travelers should expect up to a 20 minute delay.

Oakgrove Road will be paved starting Monday thru Friday. Pilot cars will be used and travelers should expect up to a 20 minute delay.

Farmer Road will be paved starting Monday thru Friday. Pilot cars will be used and travelers should expect up to a 20 minute delay.

Mid-Willamette Valley Weather Outlook For This Week:

  • Monday: Partly cloudy with a slight chance of showers. Highs 60 to 65. West wind 5 to 15 mph.
  • Monday Night: Partly cloudy. Lows around 40. Northwest wind 10 to 15 mph becoming light after midnight.
  • Tuesday: Partly sunny in the morning...then sunny. Highs around 70. North wind 5 to 10 mph.
  • Tuesday Night: Mostly clear. Lows 40 to 45. North wind 5 to 10 mph shifting to the west after midnight.
  • Wednesday: Mostly cloudy with a slight chance of rain. Highs 65 to 70.
  • Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy. Lows 40 to 45.
  • Thursday: Partly sunny. Highs 70 to 75.
  • Thursday Night: Mostly clear. Lows 40 to 45.
  • Friday: Mostly sunny. Highs 70 to 75.
  • Friday Night: Partly cloudy. Lows around 45.
  • Saturday: Mostly cloudy with a slight chance of showers. Highs around 70.
  • Saturday Night: Mostly cloudy with a slight chance of showers. Lows 40 to 45.
  • Sunday: Partly cloudy with a slight chance of showers. Highs around 65.
