(SALEM) - The Salem-Keizer School District, along with Sprague High School Principal Cheryl Bower are advising parents of Sprague High School students of a threat made against the school.

District spokesman Jay Remy says late Friday, school staff found a disturbing note in a classroom that made a threat against the school on 6-6-06.

As to any more information the note contained, Remy said as per district policy they will not disclose that information as this is a criminal investigation.

Salem Police were notified about the threat.

School staff, along with district officials and Salem Police are formulating a security plan for that day to ensure students safety.

Remy said that parents worried about their child`s safety on that day can excuse their student(s) from school for that day.

Parents with any questions or concerns can contact Principal Cheryl Bower at (503) 399-3261.

I would imagine that "improved security" will just mean 3 extra rent-a-cops that stand outside the door, which is what my school did in response to a threat recentley.
