(CAMP LEJEUNE, NC) - Every summer, Move America Forward spends a month focusing on supporting one particular unit deployed in Afghanistan. We select this unit based on the difficulty of their mission and the danger level in the region of Afghanistan in which they are fighting.

We know all of our troops face danger and make big sacrifices on their deployment. All of our troops deserve our support and care, but as part of our "Answer the Call" campaign we support a unit that has a distinctly difficult mission or locked in a uniquely tough fight against the Taliban.

This time around we have selected 800 Marines from the 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force to receive care packages as part of Answer The Call III.

THE USMC 2nd MEF is a group of Marine combat teams "responsible for ground operations" the very dangerous Helmand and Nimruz provinces, and surrounding areas. These are two areas where the Taliban has been very active historically, and this summer shows no sign of bucking the trend!

ANSWER THE CALL TO HELP
800 MARINES
OF THE 2ND MARINE EXPEDITIONARY FORCE

We will continue pushing this unit until all 800 Marines have been sponsored, so please make a contribution to help us cover everyone!

Each time we end out an email, it will include an update (such as the one you see to the left) on how many of the troops have been sponsored, and how many are left. This helps you keep track of our progress so that we can reach our goal.

The Marines of the 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force are fighting to defeat the Taliban and Al Qaeda. We must support them!
