(CHENNAI, India) - May 17 Movement & PDK is going to held Candle Light Vigil. The “May 17th Movement” was set up by youths (like Software Engineers, Lawyers, School and College Students) in Tamil Nadu.

PDK-Periyar Dravidar Kazhagam is a political party in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It split from Dravidar Kazhagam in 1996.

The president of the party is 'Kolathur' Mani and its general secretary is 'Viduthalai' Rajendran.

The date May 17 denotes the Mullivaaikkaal debacle of the LTTE on that day in 2009. Although held by a civil society organization several political figures also participated.

Just three years ago, even today, the Tamils of Sri Lanka are suffering torture but denied a world stage.

Today, the Tamil Hindu and Christian survivors live in constant peril; occupied by Sri Lanka's Sinhalese Buddhist army. Those able to get information out say the rapes and the deathly abuse of Tamils is far from over, but continuing today at a slower pace.

Last Year June 26th 2011 was held by May 17 Movement
