(SALEM, Ore.) - A retired teacher has been arraigned on two counts of Sex Abuse in the first degree in Salem, according to a statement released jointly today by the Marion County District Attorney's Office and the Stayton Police Department. They say that on Friday, May 9th, retired Sublimity school teacher John Lulay was arraigned on the two counts of Sex Abuse in the first degree. Both police and the prosecutors are asking any member of the public with additional information on the case to contact Detective Colleen Arient at the Stayton Police Department. It is important to note in stories such as this, that the person in question has not been convicted of any crime and as bad as the charges may sound, they are still only charges and the person is innocent until proven guilty. News agencies like Salem-News.com relate information that is provided to us by the police and we often publish their requests for additional information from the public because in many cases, there are additional victims. In some cases, the charges are found to be baseless and the person charged is never convicted. Detective Colleen Arient with the Stayton Police Department can be reached at 503 769-3421. Let the truth be know! The suspicious killing of an inmate in the Oregon State Peninteniary in Salem was MURDER! The officer on duty set it up. He allowed 1 inmate to enter into the victims cell cover his head with a pillowcase while the other two inmates brutally beat the victim with pillowcases containing blunt objects. The whole time the officer on duty watched!
