(BUFFALO, N.Y.) - DunnTire Raceway Park is proud to announce the NY Premiere of the movie ‘Red Dirt Rising’ on July 24th 2010 in Lancaster, NY. Born out of hauling moonshine, racing has become the world’s number one spectator sport.

The movie, ‘Red Dirt Rising’ features the kind of romance and daredevlin’ that made racing famous and gives the true story of how racing’s earliest heroes were born.

Bring your lawn chairs as DunnTire Raceway is transformed into an outdoor movie theater and join thousands of race fans, movie goers and music lovers as they converge on DunnTire Raceway Park for a day of fun including a concert, A ‘Meet and Greet’ with Early Legends of racing Bill Blair, Jr. and Gary Lewallan, son of early NASCAR legend Jimmie Lewallan.

The makers of the movie, “Red Dirt Rising” will be there: Kathleen ‘Bo’ Bobak – Director’s Guild Award Recipient for her work on ‘Titanic’, James Suttles of Suttle Films and some of the actors, as well as the men behind the music including, Cliff Downs – 12 time Emmy Award Winning Composer/Arranger, enjoy a ‘Cruise-in’ Car Show to be judged by Bill Blair, Gary Lewallan. Then, sit back, relax and enjoy the movie!

Gates open at 5:30 pm and the raceway park will have plenty of activities for the whole family.

“Red Dirt Rising” is the true American tale of love in the time of moonshine, when racing’s earliest heroes were born. The story follows the lives of three young men who come of age to find escape from life’s challenges on the track, ultimately shaping the future of their families and stock car racing during the Fightin’ Forties. The film boasts a veteran cast and crew with extensive resumes in television and film.

A portion of all proceeds from “Red Dirt Rising” and its soundtrack are set to support the non-profit Racing Legends Medical Fund.

Established in 1991, this hardship fund benefits past drivers, team owners and mechanics who qualify for assistance.
