Salem-Portland AM Traffic and Weather Report

(SALEM) - Good Morning! Here is your morning Salem and Portland traffic and weather report from Salem-News.com.

Salem area traffic report: Expect normal backups heading into the city this morning on Commercial St, the Center Street Bridge, Lancaster Drive, and Mission St. I-5 between Salem and Portland, and Highway 22 east and west are reported clear.

Portland area traffic report: No accidents being reported. Expect the usual delays heading into the downtown area.

Salem-Mid Valley Road Construction Report:

Wiltsey Rd SE Between Commercial St SE and Reed Ln SE. Tuesday thru 5/15, 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Lane closure with flaggers for water line installation for new development.

Lone Oak Rd SE Between Holder Ln SE and Mildred Ln SE. Wednesday thru Friday, 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Lane closure for street improvement as part of a development project.

Monday thru Wednesday, 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. City of Salem crews will be replacing sewer lines on 25th Street SE between Lee Street SE and Simpson Street SE. 25th Street SE will be reduced to one lane of traffic with flaggers. Expect delays and use an alternate route if possible.

Monday thru Wednesday, 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Madrona Avenue SE between Liberty Road S and 3 Avenue Rd SE will be reduced to one lane of traffic with flaggers. Expect some congestion at this location. This closure is for installation of utilities for a new building.

Evergreen Ave NE Between Chester Ave NE and Silverton Rd NE. Monday thru Friday, 8:30 AM 3:30 PM. Lane closure with flaggers for sewer service installation.

Market St NE Between 17th St NE and Capitol St NE. Now thru 6/11, 8:00 AM to 8:00 AM. Market St NE is closed to through traffic between Capitol St NE and 17th St NE for sewer and waterline construction. Local access will be maintained for residents and emergency services at all times. Detour routes will be in place. Westbound traffic will use 17th St NE, Sunnyview Rd NE, Fairgrounds Rd NE, and Summer St NE. Eastbound traffic will use Summer St NE, D Street NE, and 17th St NE.

Zena Road will be paved starting Wednesday thru 5/18. Pilot cars will be used and travelers should expect up to a 20 minute delay.

Riddell Road will be paved from Monmouth to Orrs Corner Rd from Wednesday thru 5/17. Pilot cars will be used and travelers should expect up to a 20 minute delay.

Orrs Corner Rd will be paved from Dallas to Hwy 99 starting Wednesday thru 5/17. Pilot cars will be used and travelers should expect up to a 20 minute delay.

Central Willamette-Valley Forecast From Salem-News.com:

Tonight: Mostly clear. Lows around 40. Northwest wind 5 to 15 mph becoming light wind.

Thursday: Mostly sunny. Highs around 70.

Saturday: Morning clouds...then partly sunny. Highs 65 to 70.

Sunday: Partly sunny. Highs 65 to 70.

Monday: Partly sunny. Highs around 70.
