May-08-2010 16:30TweetFollow @OregonNews For Those Who Don't Believe Israel Shoots Innocent FarmersTim King Salem-News.comActivists have repeatedly witnessed Palestinian farmers being shot at by Israeli forces as they attempt to work on agricultural land situated within 700m of the Green Line.
(SALEM, Ore.) - It was late February in 2009, when Israeli forces shot a twenty-year-old Palestinian farmer as he worked his land in the village of Al-Faraheen, east of Khan Younis in the Gaza Strip. Weeks earlier, on Tuesday 27 January 2009, in Al Faraheen, Israeli forces shot at several farmers, killing a 27-year-old man whose job in life was that of a farmer. We are told this happens often, though Israelis deny it. As it turns out in the February case though, International Human Rights Activists were accompanying the group of farmers at the time as they worked approximately 500m from the Green Line. They were rolling when the shots were fired. To underscore the real responsibility for these actions, the camera shows that the Israeli Defense Force soldiers, murderers in this case, driving a HUMVEE - just exactly like U.S. forces. I'm sure the Palestinians always see a hint of Americanism in the bullets that slay their families, from far away, from a military force with no courage, but plenty of violent hostility toward an unarmed, defenseless populace. 20-year-old Mohammad al-Breem, was shot in the right leg as the farmers worked together with the international Human Rights Activists. There were more shots as they attempted to leave the area having worked on their land for 2 hours in full view of the Israeli forces situated along the Green Line. There was no surprise, no provocation; the IDF let them think they could work their own land, and then after a while they opened fire. Farmers of every persuasion, from every corner of the globe, should condemn this ongoing genocide of the Palestinians by Israel's unaccountable government forces. In case you were curious, the farmers' crime, that Israel deemed open season over, was the loading of parsley and spinach from the agricultural lands. The shots were fired from Israeli forces on the border. Mohammad was shot in the right leg and evacuated, while still under fire, to a hospital. Israel is a nuclear pariah state with the most powerful army in the region holding a massive population in an open air prison in worst than apartheid conditions. There is an Israeli military occupation of Palestinian land, not a Palestinian occupation of Israeali land, and the Palestinians, whom have lived in subhuman conditions under the cruel boot of racist Israeli occupation have every right to resist. What is most amazing is the level of restraint the Palestinians have shown, despite all the massacres, aggressions, campaigns of terrorism waged by Israel and its American Apache helicopters and F-16s. However, as the youth of Palestine wake up to the fact that their "country" whose infrastructure is continually decimated, its people continually humiliated and killed, has no future, they will flock into the arms of extremists and a war Israel cannot survive, waged by middle easterners everywhere who can no longer tolerate the suffering of their brethren. That is Israel's inevitable fate if they can't learn a little compassion for their neighbors and abide by the judgments of the international community. Palestinians are human beings, not your low wage slaves, not cockroaches for you to step on with impunity.

I remember talking to my friend from Palestine about a decade ago about what has been happening in the region for generations. This was before the 9/11 event. The people were supporting Osama Bin Laden as the only real hope to get any change. I remember saying to him that the people needed to get the information into the world press so that the average American could find out what was going on. I said that Americans were generally very good people and in INFORMATION, there could be change to help the plight of the innocent people in the region. I am glad that Salem-News has been helping to get the word out about how an entire nation of people are being treated to poorly FOR GENERATIONS! We wonder why there is so much anger directed towards the Israelis. These stories help explain it.
Editor: I appreciate that you take the time to say that, I think the informational way is the only way; peace can win the day, but only if people know what is taking place, thanks.

For those aware of the facts and follow human rights groups, this is not news. It's business as usual for the Israeli Terrorist Force, no different than the bombing of civilians at the Rafah refugee camp, or the murder of a Palestinian family on a beach from ITF gunships, or the use of Palestinian children as human shields, or the use of illegal weapons on Gaza in Operation Cause Deaths...I mean, Cast Lead, in January 2009. http://gulfnews.com/news/region/palestinian-territories/family-killed-on-israeli-beach-1.240367 http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2009/mar/23/israel-gaza-war-crimes-guardian War crimes by the Israeli Terrorist Force are a daily event, not isolated incidents. I'm just glad to see that the western media is starting to treat Israel the same way as every other nation is treated. Just because jews have long been the victims of atrocities by christians doesn't mean Israel get to perpetrate atrocities with immunity. Not holding Israel accountable is like not holding a child molester accountable because he was molested as a child. .

The 'farmers' have been warned to stay away from the border specifically because gaza terrorists are using that area to infiltrate and leave ied's.
They cant figure that out?
Maybe it has something to do with the corrupt administration over there and their hateful Arab neighbors who want local blood shed for the international naive media who suck it up for the bleeding hearts in the west.
Great Jim, so I am going to steal your place of work and shoot you if you try to go there, it is important because zionist terrorists are possibly using your place of work to smuggle in terrorist tools from the USA to kill the Palestinians. And you would be cool with that, right? I believe the terrorists are misidentified, I believe they are simply trying to stay alive under the genocidal boot track of Israel. You will lose in the end.

"Farmers of every persuasion from every corner of the globe, should condemn this ongoing genocide of the Palestinians by Israel's unaccountable government forces." gen·o·cide noun the deliberate and systematic extermination of a national, racial, political, or cultural group. There are three times as many Palestinians today as there were forty years ago. That is not "genocide", my hysterical anti-Semitic friend. It is a population explosion.
Who cares about the numbers you mention, we're sick of your lame excuses and lies. Israel is committing genocide. Now, since you can neither define or correctly use the meaning of anti-Semite correctly, I will take a few minutes to teach you and other ill informed visitors a little about the actual meaning. First, start by examining this story, which compares the actions of the Israelis amazingly, to those of the Nazi's.
You see nameless wonder, when families die they die, and it sucks and there is no excuse for it. So it doesn't matter to a mother who lost a child to a murderous Israeli bullet whether one, or six million just died. The weakest excuse is that the numeric value of death has meaning, but as long as you're just sniping Palestinian farmers in their fields, and the crappy world ignores it, in the pocket of Israel as it is; there is no difference at all. The truth is there is no difference between dead Holocaust Jews and innocent Palestinians in 2010.
