Oregon Town’s Only Grocery Store Destroyed by Fire

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

(TRIANGLE LAKE, Ore. ) - Residents of the small Oregon town of Triangle Lake, are hoping to re-build the towns only grocery store that was destroyed by a weekend fire.

Fire crews responded to a report of a fire at Lakeview Grocery just after 12:45 AM on Sunday.

Fire investigators say the fire caused an estimated $300,000 in damage, and they are still trying to determine what caused the fire.

The store’s owners, and local residents say they are devastated by the fire, which served as the heart of the small community of some 800 residents.

They all said they planned to do whatever it takes to rebuild the store, which is located on the west side of the lake.
