(McMINNVILLE, Ore. ) - Four people are accused of trying to smuggle chewing tobacco into the Yamhill County Jail by hiding it in a prosthetic leg. Yamhill County Sheriff Jack Crabtree says an inmate faked a fall and damage to the leg, and a former inmate picked it up for repair. Deputies said when the leg came back, they found about two cans worth of chewing tobacco sealed in foil and hidden in a hollow section. Police charged inmates 34-year-old Chad William Scott, of Newberg, and 24-year-old Casey Scott Carnahan, of McMinnville, along with former inmates 33-year-old Noah Seth Nicholson, of McMinnville, and 20-year-old Samantha Lurene McMillan, of McMinnville, with supplying contraband which is a class C felony. Tobacco was banished from the jail in 1991, so contraband supplies are valuable. A pack of cigarettes goes for about $100 and a can of chewing tobacco goes for about $50 a jail official said. yamhill county sheriff do NOT in any way promote or condoln any misstreatment of prisoners, citizens or offices any were no matter you rank position or status. as far as the tubaco thing, oregon as a whole is "tubaco free campus" style like any more! and is some what controlversal but as far as the actions of law inforcment goes, they are, or should be looked at as soldgier are, they are fighting for us and our freedom from danger. if you dont agree then try and get more info by one or many classes at the sheriffs deprtment like VRU or the citizens academy, then see what you think of them and there actions, but to each is his own And i respect you for placing your idias and mind set out to be read! sorry for miss spelling! ps prison is federal county is considered JAIL neither is fun, a problem hapend and punishment needs to reflect he action, "If jail/prison was fun or injoy able ever one would want to go, the difrence is like work and play and day and night. but their Is not torture inflicted by the officers, maybe by fellow pisoners but not longer then possibley for the resonce of the officer to stop it and make it safe again!

Is this supposed to be an accomplishment in the torture chambers called prison? I want to hear about mental health professionals advocating the release to confinement hospitals for people that belong in hospitals. I would like to know about prison rape and how correction officers get in on the action when young defenseless men are bought and sold; then wind up with HIV. The most lawless place in the world is a prison and that includes the correction officers and wardens. I was aquainted with two C.O.s. I have heard enough.
