'Lion Sheik' bin Laden and the Confused American Public

Usama bin Laden was also known as the 'Lion Sheik'

(SALEM, Ore.) - For those of you who are on the fence over the whole bin Laden matter, I have something interesting to share. The Wikipedia page on 'Osama bin Laden' is being watched like a hawk and it is the hawks themselves who are standing by to peck out any dissenting material from the page. After all, not one but two U.S. presidents have blown excessive taxpayer resources in this ten year manhunt.

Any American, virtually anybody in the world for that matter, could repeat the official story about how bin Laden's direct links to the terrorist attacks on the United States. Right? Bush was telling us immediately, that very day, that bin Laden was responsible.

I thought I'd troll YouTube and pull up a few clips of Bush in 2001 talking about how bin Laden was the conclusive suspect in the terrorist attacks, and lo and behold, the first of several videos I looked at have the embed code disabled, hmmmm.

I have to say that this is the only time in history that a single search has ever turned up so many videos with the embed code, which we use to post the video here, disabled.

But I kept looking, and isn't it funny that the first video with a functioning embed code, came from the Keith Olbermann show? That is no surprise to me, the guy was an honest element in mainstream media and now, of course, his show, Countdown, is history.

The video is about the Taliban reportedly offering to turn bin Laden over, the U.S. never gave the Taliban a response. It is slightly unrelated to the specific points I make in this article, but absolutely cut from the same cloth as the rest of it.

And once again, the world is small. I finally found the video I was looking for; posted on the Website of my former TV station employer, KATU Channel-2 News in Portland, Oregon, which is an ABC affiliate^[1].

This is national ABC News; pay attention to this amazing clip with information specifically from the Dept. of Defense, which shows clearly, without a doubt, the U.S. federal government boldly lying from the very beginning about Usama bin Laden's involvement in 911, something that was not and is not the truth, regardless of how many times it is repeated by news anchors and writers.

During my career as a writer, I have engaged the subject of 9/11 at great length and my reports have led to interviews with media like Russian TV; groups that aren't concerned with towing the line of American politics^[2].

One particular part that I have never been able to stop thinking about, is the fact that jet fuel burns at about the temperature of diesel, and that is more than a thousand degrees too cool to melt steel, particularly tempered steel used in the construction of buildings that were specifically designed to take a direct hit from a large passenger liner^[3].

Even though Wikipedia and other sources clearly state that bin Laden denied involvement for four years, this is what ABC put out about his claims of terrorism in the U.S.

ABC News anchor: "Back in Dec 2001, the Pentagon released a video that had been recovered in Afghanistan, with bin Laden and followers literally boasting about the plot, take a listen:

(Alleged bin Laden translation- "we calculated in advance the number of casualties who would be killed based on the position of the towers. We calculated that the floors that would be hit would be three or four floors I was the most optimistic of them all. Due to my experience in this field, I was thinking that the fire from the gad in the plane would melt the iron structure of the building and collapse the area where the plane hit and all the floors above it only. This is all that we had hoped for.")

I can't believe those clowns used a fake recording of a dead terrorist to back up their bad science theory about jet fuel being hot enough when burning, to "melt" the trade towers. That by any standard, is physically impossible, and I don't care how many billions of dollars and fox news reports later we are in the game; ask anyone who works with steel in this way; ask a qualified engineer to speak frankly about it, but you will probably have to promise them it will be off the record first, because these nagging 'facts' really can get in the way of one's popularity.

But there you have it, in 2001 the Defence Dept. is trying to convince Americans without a doubt that this is the guy. You want to know what probably happened to bin Laden?

He almost certainly died in the caves at Tora Bora which were under heavy attack by Americans in late 2001. I happen to know one of the very few Special Forces soldiers who was there for all of it; these are the Americans who dressed as Arabs and rode donkeys, packing automatic weapons.

I won't reveal his name and it is just as well, as we have never talked in extremely specific terms about this, but he absolutely confirms that the attacks on the cave complex where bin Laden was suspected to be, were nothing less than ferocious.

Then Bush and Cheney used this man's image and replicated him talking and scared Americans by talking about how bin Laden wanted to "take their freedoms" away and trust me, Arabs aren't sitting around talking about this type of thing very often.

Some are in bed with the west, places like Kuwait and bin Laden's home country, Saudi Arabia, and in other nations, people are so busy trying to find their next meal that such thoughts would never cross their mind. Now of course we are ten years into the occupational war in Afghanistan, and Iraq, where they are really super tired of Americans, is right behind. No doubt a lot of people in these two countries would like to clobber the brains out of Americans, and if you can blame anyone for wanting revenge against the deeds of an occupational force and its bombs and bullets and roadblocks and general lack of humanity, then we are reaching 'Communication Breakdown' status.

STAY HUMAN - Vittorio Arrogini

Bearing in mind that the DoD was stating bin Laden was responsible for 9/11 in 2001, the Wikipedia page I referenced earlier, the official version, states this:

"After repeated denials, in 2004, Osama bin Laden claimed responsibility for the September 11, 2001 attacks on the United States just less than ten years ago."^[3]

This is the reported claim of bin Laden, a better term of this kind of misinformation is hasbara. This man did not claim to have attacked the U.S. in 2001, '02, or '03? Not until 2004?^[4]

At this time, bin Laden is reported to have issued this statement:

"God knows it did not cross our minds to attack the towers but after the situation became unbearable and we witnessed the injustice and tyranny of the American-Israeli alliance against our people in Palestine and Lebanon, I thought about it. And the events that affected me directly were that of 1982 and the events that followed – when America allowed the Israelis to invade Lebanon, helped by the U.S. Sixth Fleet. As I watched the destroyed towers in Lebanon, it occurred to me punish the unjust the same way (and) to destroy towers in America so it could taste some of what we are tasting and to stop killing our children and women."

Excuse me, but most Saudis could just give a shit about the well being of the Palestinians and Lebanese, and many in Lebanon treat the Palestinian refugees as badly as the Israelis do.

That entry is simply designed to tie the Palestinians and Lebanese directly to a terrorist, and that is Israel at work, with their special education program called 'hasbara' that seeks to always overpower the airwaves and print media with material that causes people to be confused, and to rally behind Israel out of fear when it is, in reality, far, far worse than any of the nations referenced.

Palestine has never lifted a finger toward the U.S., and the attack on the Marine Barracks in Beirut was precipitated by military and political violence and the United State's backing of Israel. I don't say this lightly, I was a Marine when this happened, and a guy from my squadron who everyone liked very much, died that day. But Americans are never privy it seems, or fail to take notice, of the most important factors that lead to violence^[5].

Again from Wikipedia:

"Muslim feelings against the American presence were 'exacerbated when missiles lobbed by the U.S. Sixth Fleet hit innocent by-standers in the Druze-dominated Shuf mountains.' Moreover, there was a growing feeling of frustration inside the Muslim and Druze community in Lebanon with US direct backing of Israel in the 1982 invasion of Lebanon and other pro-Israeli factions within Lebanon."^[11a]

Those who have followed my previous articles about the scandals tied to Usama bin Laden, know that this man, known among his admirers as the, "Lion Sheik", was a regional hero of the Afghanistan war of independence; the civil war that pitted Afghan Mujahideen 'rebels' or 'insurgents', against an occupying Soviet Army. Russia felt like it was losing its grip on Communist Afghanistan in 1979, so they invaded much as the U.S. has today, and ten years later left in defeat. This signaled the end of the 'Cold War' which had gripped the U.S. economy and world relations for almost half a century^[6].

Usama or Osama bin Laden, as he is commonly referenced, was one of the primary individuals behind ending this seemingly endless conflict. The Afghan Mujahideen victory over Russia, led to the collapse of the Soviet Union, the fall of the Berlin Wall, and freedom for million and millions of people who were trapped in the eastern psychological enclave known as Communism^[7].

When Iraq moved on Kuwait, Usama bin Laden was incensed that Saudi Arabia wanted to have the U.S. fight on their behalf against Iraq in 1991 during the invasion of Kuwait. He waged a losing battle to manage these problems in the Middle east without U.S. influence. It would have cost a small fraction of the U.S. taxpayer's bill for 'Desert Storm'.

He proved that, along with the other jihadist fighters in Afghanistan, a war can be won with not that much cash but a lot of determination^[8].

Disgusted with the decisions of the Royal Family, bin Laden issued verbal assaults on King Fahd of Saudi Arabia. On 5 March 1994, Fahd sent an emissary to Sudan to demand bin Laden's passport.

His family then reportedly, cut off his $7 million a year stipend. But here is where it gets interesting; the world just learned the real dirt on Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak. I find it interesting that this 'terrorist' bin Laden, who was strongly associated with Egyptian Islamic Jihad (EIJ), in 1995 attempted to assassinate Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak. The attempt failed, and the EIJ was expelled from Sudan, where bin Laden had relocated.

Brass Tacks and Matching Visual Circumstances

The situation with his body not being shown is extremely reminiscent of the attack on the Pentagon, 11 Sept. 2001.

When the Pentagon was struck, video cameras recorded the full action from three locations; a Virginia Highway Dept. camera, a Hilton Hotel camera, and a video camera located at a Chevron station, all were directed toward the Pentagon, and they were all seized in the immediate period following the attack on the building by the FBI^[9].

Yet the only video ever released, was from a Pentagon 'security' camera. Now get this, the government said that the camera was low quality, and that it only recorded four frames per second, and this is what you see when that white object strikes the Pentagon. It is the only footage ever released, and that is a heck of a thing with a national catastrophe with many questions and witness statements suggesting that there was never a 757 passenger plane, but a small plane, or a missile, these are the related versions of what people saw. We had cameras in 2001 for liquor stories that recorded video at 30 frames per second, and anyone who believes that the Pentagon wouldn't have had high tech security cameras is dreaming.

The thing with bin Laden, is that if they had killed him, rather than posing a big fake publicity stunt, where the false flags leave welts, why on earth would they not show the world his body? Oh wait, they did! For those who didn't notice, in the immediate aftermath of the announcement of this event where the U.S. claims to have killed bin Laden, a series of photos began circulating that are actually from two years ago, showing a supposedly dead Usama bin Laden. This only increased the confusion^[10].

In both the Pentagon and this new bin Laden story, the public could be greatly reassured if the government revealed the images to prove its claims. We've seen Saddam Hussein brutalized by U.S. forces, as no foreign president ever should be, and then somehow, the video of his death leaked out too.

We've all been traumatized as Americans by watching the planes fly into the Twin Towers hundreds or thousands of times in ten years. Why not show the Pentagon plane? Why? I can tell you why, because it didn't happen and the government is trapped and forced to stay with its story. The capture and/or killing of bin Laden, is obviously a political ploy by the Obama Administration and the only thing we really know for sure about the White House, regardless of who is in office, is that it lies about WMD's, protects Israel from war crimes, and has a horrible track record that mostly involves the unjustified slaying of large numbers of civilians, such as in Panama in 1989. The more you know about U.S. modern history, the worse it gets.

But those of you who choose to believe Obama should also consider that this guy with a $25 million dollar price tag on his head in one of the world's poorest regions, was dying of kidney failure way back in the year 2000, and he looked haggard and worn. Over the years the 'bin Laden' who has shown up on TV, has a variety of looks and at one point, appears to be absolutely healthy with gleaming black hair and beard. In order to buy the government story, you have to agree that this guy has been making it to kidney dialysis on a regular basis. None of it makes sense.

On a personal level, I understand that above and beyond the cloud of smoke used by this country to obscure realities, this man bin Laden is both a hero, and a terrorist. Just as Israel qualifies for the title as a nation/state, this man also committed unforgivable acts and needed to be brought to justice.

But none of that has anything to do with 9/11, especially if you understand how Wikipedia is monitored closely by powerful individuals who want the story told a certain way. Even they overlooked the major discrepancy in dates, or maybe the federal government doesn't care what we know and simply laughs at us^[11].

That is why, as I stated in my last report on this interesting development, the FBI and federal U.S. government never did list him as a suspect in the 11 September attacks. But you just believe what you think you should, all of this is confusing and disturbing and I realize that, but I don't seek to write about these objections, I however must as that is the nature of things. Americans are a sad lot, we have been lied to and little changes over time.
