(DA NANG Vietnam) - An upcoming action at is planned for the Dow Chemical shareholder meeting in Michigan, the event is organized by the International Campaign for Justice in Bhopal--North America (ICJB-NA).

ICJB-NA strives to hold Dow Chemical accountable for the ongoing chemical disaster occurring in Bhopal, India, which has claimed over 25,000 lives in the past 29 years. The world's worst industrial disaster, the 1984 Union Carbide gas leak, sparked decades of environmental damage, which includes not only the intergenerational aftermath of exposure to toxic gas, but extensive soil and groundwater contamination from Union Carbide's abandoned factory.  Union Carbide is a fully-owned subsidiary of Dow Chemical, who acquired UC and its outstanding liabilities in Bhopal back in 2001.

It happens Thursday, May 9th, 2013, 9 a.m. to 12 noon, the shareholder meeting starts at 10 a.m. and is being held at the Midland Center for the Arts (1801 St Andrews St, Midland Township, MI 48640)

He says Dioxins have been re-discovered to cause all sorts of damage to humans. These include Heart Disease, Parkinsonism, Diabetes et cetera. Dioxins are already known to produce serious birth defects and a variety of cancers. The chemical is still sold in Third World Countries and is causing the same problems.
