(WASHINGTON DC) - President Barack Obama at 2014 white house correspondents association dinner watch president Barack Obama joke the white house correspondents association dinner 2014 took aim at Republicans, the media — and himself — at Saturday's White House Correspondents' Association Dinner - beginning and ending with the botched rollout of Healthcare.gov.

"I usually start these dinners with a few self-deprecating jokes, but after my stellar 2013, what could I possibly talk about?" the president joked.

"At one point things got so bad, the 47 percent called Mitt Romney to apologize," Obama added.

The president deadpanned that the rollout of Healthcare.gov "could've gone better," but said it was turned into one of the year's biggest movies, before showing a title screen for the film "Frozen."

At the end of his 20-minute remarks, Obama brought out Kathleen Sebelius to "fix" a technical problem that he was having with a video he wanted to play for those in attendance at the Hilton.

"These days House Republicans are giving him a harder time than they give me, which means orange really is the new lack," Obama joked.

The president also riffed about Washington gridlock at the expense of New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and the Bridgegate scandal.

"Gridlock has gotten so bad, you've got to wonder, what did we do to piss off Chris Christie so bad," Obama joked.

Obama eventually turned the jokes to the media, including CNN's recent coverage of Malaysia Airlines Flight 370, noting that he just returned from Malaysia. "The lengths we have to go to to get CNN coverage these days," Obama joked. "I think they're still searching for their table."

"MSNBC is here, they're a little overwhelmed. They've never seen an audience this big before," the president joked.

Turning to Fox News, Obama addressed the criticism he received for promoting Obamacare on "Between Two Ferns."

"I'm not the first person on television between two potted plants," Obama joked while a photo of "Fox and Friends" host Elisabeth Hasselbeck sitting between her co-hosts, Steve Doocy and Brian Kilmeade was displayed on screen.

"Sometimes I do feel disrespected by you reporters," Obama said, but added he got some tips from Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman. "Jake Tapper, don't you ever talk about me like that! I'm the best president in the game!"

Hollywood and politics were shoulder to shoulder on Saturday evening as stars, pundits and officials began arriving on the red carpet for one of D.C.'s glitziest nights, falling on the 100th anniversary of the press group.

Spotted entering the Washington Hilton were actors Patrick Stewart, Sofia Vergara, Matthew Morrison and Katharine McPhee. Dallas Cowboys' Tony Romo was another early arrival with his wife as well as "Duck Dynasty" stars Willie and Korie Robertson.

The stars will be among the 2,600 guests expected to fill the Hilton's ballroom, alongside the president and the first lady, who arrived to the hotel around 7 p.m., according to the pool report.

Also arriving together were the cast of HBO's "Veep" including: Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Anna Chlumsky, Gary Cole, Tony Hale, Matt Walsh, Reid Scott, Timothy Simons, Kevin Dunn and Sufe Bradshaw.

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the White House Correspondents' Association, which throws the one of the biggest parties in town. Each spring, D.C.'s notables -- and hopefully some bold-name guests — file into the hotel to hear remarks from the president and the selected comedic host — this year, "Community" actor and comedian Joel McHale takes on that role from Conan O'Brien, who had guests of "This Town" and Tinseltown in stitches last year.
