Salem Police Detectives Make Arrest Regarding Walgreen's Robbery

(Salem, Oregon) - Late last month, an unidentified suspect passed a note at the Walgreen Drug Store, 1992 Lancaster Dr NE, indicating he had a gun and was demanding the drug Oxycodone. The suspect escaped with an undisclosed amount of the drug and no one was injured.

On May 3rd, just before 2:30 PM, Salem Police Department detectives served a search warrant at a residence in the 1000 block of Clearview Ave NE in Keizer in connection with the robbery investigation. Taken into custody for the robbery was 33 year old Noel Williams. He was charged with Robbery II, Theft I, and Possession of a Controlled Substance (Oxycodone). Williams also had a Federal Parole Violation Warrant.

In addition, Williams and 23 year old Ashley Rae Taylor, who was with him, were charged with Theft I and Theft II. Those charges stem from a February incident that occurred in northeast Salem when the couple was staying with a relative.
