(SALEM) - An adult male died in an apparent accidental drowning Sunday in Salem, the man's body was recovered and transported from the scene on Electric Street SE. Authorities were called to the scene around 5:00 p.m. No details were available at this time regarding how the reported drowning took place. Police say Dustin Hill, 33 years of age, was found deceased in a drainage ditch west of the 2000 block of 25th St SE Sunday at about 5:00 PM. Mr. Hill had been reported as a missing person earlier in the day after he had failed to return home the previous night. Family members had been out searching for him when they discovered the body. Mr. Hill was observed to be highly intoxicated the previous evening and the death appears to be an accidental drowning. The results of toxicology testing are still pending.
