Anti-Gaddafi Benghazi Rebels Repay West by Trashing WWII Graves

(SALEM) - The Great Divide in progressive Internet reporting happened when the west decided to take out long standing Libyan President Muammar Gaddafi. This is when supposedly peace-minded writers, suddenly believed they should cheer for a western-led campaign to take out Libya's leader, who had for years been a friend, off and on again at least, with countries like the U.S., France and Great Britain.

The Benghazi Cemetery and the UK Commonwealth World War Cemetery were targeted by people many in the west see as friends.

I believed it might be a good idea for western forces to aid these so-called rebels, for about a day. Our writer Ken O'Keefe called us from overseas at the onset, and shared his dread of this impending military aviation. Then Cynthia McKinney came out with the first article decrying this action, and it was followed by an article from our writer, Dr. Franklin Lamb in Beirut, and by this time I personally was sharing the dread, from there it only got worse.

Franklin went to Libya quickly; this native of Salem, Oregon who long ago became an international lawyer and then became irreversibly involved in the tragedy of the Sabra-Shatila massacre (A Palestinian refugee camp in Beirut that was the subject of a terrible ethnic killing spree by Lebanese Christian Druze militia- aided by Israel), reported from the side of those who continued to support the Libyan government. The rebels were slowly surrounding Tripoli and while it is not known for certain, that is the side that most likely shot Franklin, who did make a full recovery of course.

Anyway, it quickly became obvious to those paying attention, that many of these well funded attackers of the Libyan government, are radical Islamists who make Gaddafi look like a manageable pussycat, which is about what he was in the eyes of many over the years.

So they now are repaying their debt to the west, backer of Libyan rebels in Benghazi, by toppling British soldier's gravestones at the Benghazi Cemetery, isn't that an unusual way to say thanks to your sponsors? Those identified in these photos are described as Salafists, and if you think moderate fundamentalists are bad, you haven't done your homework. The soldiers who died in WWII and are getting their graves trashed, did absolutely nothing to these vandals in Libya. While the new 'government' apologized, they can't deny that under Gaddafi, this never happened, it was never allowed to happen.

It's a new day in Libya.
