Top Ten Reasons Why Israel Actually IS a Legitimate State

The Zionists finally convinced me they’re right. Here are the top ten reasons.

Israeli legitimacy

(SUNDANCE, Wyoming) - 10) Hitler, Pol Pot, Genghis Khan and Attila the Hun all killed more people than Israel has. So why are you singling out Israel for criticism, you anti-Semite?

9) If you don’t accept our legitimacy, our friend Samson will nuke every major city in Europe. How’s THAT for legitimacy, you Jew-hater!

8) In 1947, the United Nations General Assembly “advised” stealing the 90% of Palestine owned by Palestinians, and giving most of it to the Jews. So why shouldn’t we follow their advice? Do you hate the United Nations? What are you, anti-Semitic or something?

7) Sure, the United Nations has passed lots of actual, legally-binding resolutions (not just “advice”) ordering Israel to let the Palestinians return to their homes and villages. But if we did that, what would have been the point of slaughtering them and terrorizing the survivors into fleeing? You and the United Nations and the whole world must be really anti-Semitic to suggest such a thing.

6) Hitler and the Germans killed a lot of Jews during World War II, and it must have somehow been the Palestinians’ fault! Only an anti-Semite would doubt that!

5) Anyone who questions Israel’s legitimacy, like Helen Thomas did, gets fired because they must be anti-Semitic. What more proof of legitimacy do you need?

4) A lot of countries are worse than Israel. But there you go again, criticizing Israel! Oy vey, why do you hate the Jews so much?

3) Every ethnic group deserves to have its own state…except for the other 24,999, non-chosen ones. If you disagree, you must be some kind of Nazi.

2) According to our tribal mythology, God gave us this land. And anyone who doubts our tribal mythology must really, REALLY hate the Jews!

1) We own the media, Hollywood, the banking system, Congress, and the White House. If we said the Fishy-Smelling Underwater Kingdom of Atlantis was a legitimate state, and a giant squid was its prime minister, we could make you believe us.

It's a shame that such an important topic is treated with such tongue and cheek nonsense. But of course, if the writer knew his facts, he wouldn't have to resort to childish stuff like this. I could choose to dismantle many parts of this arguement, since there is so much dishonesty in it, but I don't have all day to debunk propaganda, so I'll get right to the point. At the end of just about every line, the writer adds something about people accusing him of being anti-semetic, simply because he doesn't take Isreal's side. Clearly, the writer gets accused of being a bigot fairly often, and he takes issue with it. Is this writer a bigot? Does he treat jews differently than others? Supposedly, he's taking this position against Isreal to defend human rights. Is that what he's doing, or he singled out the Jewish state unfairly? There are 22 declared Muslim states on earth. Almost all of them are not democracies. Nearly all of them have laws on the books that are far more discriminatory than anything going on in Isreal. In Saudi Arabia, a women can be stoned for committing adultry. In Iran, a homosexual can be executed simply for being a homosexual. In Gaza, no jews are allowed. I could go on and on. The fact is, if the writer was really interested in human rights, Israel, the only Jewish state, the democracy with an independent judicary, would be one of the last place to focus on. If the writer was really interested in self-determination, than he would write about the Kurds and their quest for an independent state from Turkey, or the Tibets quest to be an independent state from China. Both of those issues effect far more people, and those people are up against far more oppression than what the Palestinians face in Israel. So why is this writer so obsessed with the one Jewish state? Why does he treat that one state differently than all the other states all over the world? Why does he single them out as an imperfect democracy, when there are no perfect governments on earth, and far more opressive governments than Israel? You decide.

"if the writer cares about human rights" - the first thing I suggest is that you read Kevin's bio, discover how many years he spent as a university professor, and get a feeling for who he is before you are too critical.  What I find most interesting is that you absolutely verify his point.  Rather than addressing the inequities of Israeli justice, and land theft, and on on, you choose to prove his point in real time by acting out the scenario he jokes about.  Do you even realize this?  If U.S. tax dollars were not funneled into Israel by the tens of billions each year, as this country, my country, slides toward the ultimate pool of bankruptcy, then people would not be so passionate.  If Israel didn't use our money to torture and imprison children and political prisoners (most are simply activists who took part in demonstrations) with separate laws for Jews and non-Jews, and separate roads for Jews and non-Jews, then it would not be as big of a deal.  If Israel didn't use our money and resources to slaughter people during heinous operations like 'cast lead' then there would be more of a sense of calm, than belligerence.  If Israel were not praised by this country as it abuses people so badly, you get the point.... Jews and Buddhists are as capable of as many bad deeds as Christians and Muslims.  What you are doing friend is rooting for a single group of people instead of all people at large.  Be careful who and what you suggest is racist, because Zionism is ONLY racism.  My advice is to keep reading Salem-News.com and buy Gilad Atzmon's book 'The Wandering Who?' to learn what you need to know about Jewish identity politics.  We are just tired of seeing Israelis prosper through years of war crimes and human rights violations against the precious Palestinian people, and being protected in the UN by you know who.  It is too much.
