(PORTLAND, OR) - Post Traumatic stress is one of the worst medical ailments of combat infantry. This is especially true for them, but also for emergency room personnel who continually play witness to severe trauma. Most of the PTSD victims I have worked with are/were military... Army and Marines. This story is about the causes of Post Traumatic Stress and what it psychologically does to the victims, regardless of whether they are military or civilian, because civilians get PTSD too. This is about the events that cause PTSD, when you are sitting in a foxhole being shot at, or shooting at people.

There's a website, PTSDSTRESS.COM that has an anonymous interactive computer program that reduces the symptoms of PTSD for the user. Developed in part by an NIH PTSD researcher/ doctor, the site uses eye movement. It's confidential, costs $10 per session and accepts credit cards but does not require a cardholder name adding further confidentiality. It has been used by military and non-military for over 4 years.
