(SALEM, Ore.) - Ahren Barnard vanished from Boise, Idaho on Saturday, December 4th 2004. His mom, Vicki Barnard, says she is holding out hope that someone knows what became of her son who is also a father of two beautiful children.

Ahren vanished when he returned to his home after dropping off his young son at his mother's home for the evening. Ahren had plans that evening and was going to pick up his son the next morning to continue their weekend visitation, his mom explains.

"Ahren last used his phone at 7:15 p.m. when he talked to his roommate; since that phone call Ahren hasn’t been seen or heard from since. His cars were left in his driveway, and his cell phone was left behind, along with his driver’s license and passport."

At the time of Ahren’s disappearance he was wearing blue jeans and a brown suede leather jacket.

Ahren is described as a white male, 6' tall, 220 lbs., with brown hair and brown eyes. He has pierced ears, a mole by his right eye, and a mole above his moustache on the right side of his face.

Ahren has lived in Boise for 33 years and has many friends and associates, owns his own home, and has strong ties to the community. He has two very beautiful young children, whom he loves deeply, and Ahren is very close to his mom; they talked on the phone frequently, sometimes daily.

Ahren would not have left the family that he loves without saying something. He would not have left his dog, Brutus, and cat, Scrap Iron, unattended and without food and water.
