(CHATANOOGA, Tenn.) - Today, I would like to extend a very warm and heartfelt thanks to Jenna Lyons! Jenna is J.Crew’s “it” girl … and no wonder why! This wonderfully complex woman, mother and wife joined J.Crew in 1990 as an Assistant Designer and she now serves as the company’s President & Executive Creative Director. She has single-handedly become “the darling” of both Wall Street and the fashion world! Number three, she sees to giving back. Number four, her on-line picks are always right-on. And five, she makes fashion about life, she makes it about the person, she makes it about humanity. In the kaleidoscope of life, there are just those moments that capture our hearts. There are those moments and occasions we never want to forget! Favorite photos and favorite memories, don’t we all have them? Today, I’m sharing one of my favorite memories of my kids and I’m sharing this memory because it’s also my personal reason for being grateful for Jenna Lyons! Jenna, “I am grateful to you for your commitment to the timeless cuts that create the backdrop for timeless memories! I am a mom of three very rough and rowdy boys! Most of the time we are covered in mud and grass and some sort of remnant from lunch, but there are also the times when we “dress up” for life. Last spring we had one of those “dress up for life occasions,” and I was truly having a very difficult time finding a modern classic for my boys! But... you guessed it! Crewcuts, aka J.Crew kids, came through for me, and the trousers I found at J.Crew are the best white trousers my boys have ever owned! In addition to finding a wonderful trouser, I also discovered the very lovely Crewcut piqué polo. The polo color palette is amazing: you won’t find the Crew hues anywhere else! One caveat: I loved the quince-like pink hue, but in retrospect that was probably not the best color choice for my eight-year-old son that likes to carry worms around in his pockets. (Dallas is still complaining about that “pink shirt that my mom made me wear!”) Dallas will never forget that pink shirt, but as a mom, I will never forget the memories captured on that one Spring day when my boys “dressed up for life!” Thank you Jenna for your creativity, hard work and vision to design pieces that add value to great life moments! After all, it’s all about the moments. Want to meet Jenna? She’ll be in Atlanta on March 24th! For more juicy details, contact Natalie Ponder at 770.655.5018 or NatalieHome@EarthLink.net. She says she is your ordinary girl-next-door … but on that one November day in 2009, CoCo was given an extraordinary dream: "A dream to shine a light on all the good things that happen every single day! Everyday acts of love, bravery and generosity. Everyday acts of determination, kindness and triumph in the face of tragedy. The simple things that make life so rich and rewarding! The zest and marrow of life." She says from the very beginning, the vision for her column The Good Stuff has been crystal clear: shine a bright light on the good in life because sharing the good has the power to touch lives around the world.
