(SALEM, Ore.) - The Oregon Department of Veterans' Affairs will hold a special wreath laying ceremony Thursday at 1:00 p.m., to commemorate the 6th anniversary of the Iraq War and to honor those who have served. The public ceremony will take place at the Afghan-Iraqi Freedom Memorial on the department grounds located at 700 Summer Street N.E. in Salem. Oregon House Speaker Dave Hunt and State Representative Sal Esquival are scheduled to speak. Other legislators are planning to attend. The Northwest Indian Veterans Association will post colors. Chaplain Maj. Scott Delbridge, from the Army National Guard's 41st Brigade Combat Team, will provide the invocation.
