(SALEM) - The City of Salem Public Works Department wants you to Be Aware! of some major road construction projects that could affect your commute through Salem. Please make a note of these projects, and if your commute takes you through one of these workzones, be prepared for delays, or use an alternate route to get to your destination. Capitol St NE between D St NE and Shipping St NE Monday thru Wednesday. 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Various lane closures. These lane closures are for coring of the roadway to locate utilities for an upcoming sewer line replacement project. Expect some congestion at this location. Hood St NE between Summer St NE and Capitol St NE. Monday thru Friday. 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Eastbound lane closed to traffic. This lane closure is for coring of the roadway to locate utilities for an upcoming sewer line replacement project. Local access will be from Capitol St NE. Hood St NE between Capitol St NE and McCoy St NE Monday thru Friday. 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Lanes narrowed for coring of the roadway to locate utilities for an upcoming sewer line replacement project Gaines St NE between Summer St NE and Capitol St NE Monday thru Friday. 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Street closed to through traffic. This street closure is for coring of the roadway to locate utilities for an upcoming sewer line replacement project. Local access will be from Capitol St NE. Gaines St NE between Capitol St NE and McCoy St NE Monday thru Friday. 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Lanes narrowed for coring of the roadway to locate utilities for an upcoming sewer line replacement project Liberty Rd S between Davis Rd S and Linn Haven Rd S. Monday thru 3/30. 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Lane closure with flaggers for rebuilding of roadway. Roadway will be gravel during the rebuild process. Use caution at this location. Lone Oak Rd SE between Holder Ln SE and Mildred LN SE. Tuesday thru 03/30. 8:30 AM 3:30 PM Lane closure with flaggers for installation of utilities for new development. Lone Oak Rd SE between Holder Ln SE and Mildred Ln SE Tuesday and Wednesday. 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Street closure for sewer manhole installation for new development. A detour route using Valleywood Dr SE will be in place Market St NE between Summer St NE and Capitol St NE Thursday Only. 8:30 AM to noon. Turn lane from Market St NE westbound onto Summer St NE southbound will be closed for coring of the roadway to locate utilities for an upcoming sewer line replacement project. Expect some congestion at this location. Summer St NE between Shipping St NE and D St NE Thursday and Friday. 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Various lane closures.
