Massachusetts Sheriff Jokes that President Obama Should be Shot

Maybe the town would be safer if their sheriff didn’t think that killing the president of the United States was a laughing matter.

(BOSTON YBW) - The liquor is usually flowing in full force on St. Patrick’s day, which is the reason that some people end up saying and doing things that cost them everything.

At a Republican Party in Massachusetts, Plymouth County Sheriff Joseph D. McDonald, Jr. (R) made the kind of joke that might get you a phone call from the Secret Service.

According to the Boston Globe:

McDonald offered a joke about Barack Obama being visited in a dream by three past presidents, who offered advice on how to improve the country. Lincoln’s advice: “Go to the theater.”

The joke wasn’t funny to most of the participants, and also raises serious concern that an officer of the law would be joking about killing a president who has received more death threats than any president in American history.

Not only is the sheriff running around making jokes about killing the president, he also happens to be a very good shooter. According to his website, he loves guns and says: “Plymouth County deserves the best in public safety, and I intend to continue to deliver.”

Maybe the town would be safer if their sheriff didn’t think that killing the president of the United States was a laughing matter.

Of course when past presidents received the same comments, but even more deadly with intent, it meant nothing but mirth for the lefties when the president was a true American, a conservative, not some pretender like the golfer...
