Israeli Apartheid and The Nakba

(LONDON) - There can be absolutely no doubt that Israel has created an inhuman, illegal and utterly disgraceful Apartheid state, and the international community will never be able to excuse itself if it takes no action against this blatant, ongoing and in-plain-sight crime against humanity.

Please join the millions of decent people around the world who are crying out against Israel's ongoing persecution of the Palestinians.

Send the link to this story and video to your elected representative and make sure he or she does something about it. You have to ask yourself: If I keep quiet, will it ever end?

This video started out being loosely based on the YouTube video: 'Press TV- Epilogue -Zionist Israel and Apartheid South Africa -02-24-2010', and uses some of its imagery and wording.

It was expanded into its present form to take into account the U.S. Vice President's recent visit to Israel and the announcement that Israel was to build yet more structures on the illegally occupied settlement of Beitar Illit.

I wrote to Press TV to tell them what I was doing, but received no reply. In any event, I think that the issues are too important for anyone to be concerned about drawing from research done by others, and anyone who would like to use extracts from this video is welcome to do so.

An apology: I hope that Reem Kilani does not mind that I have used her hauntingly beautiful voice at the end of this video. I should have asked for permission, and I apologize for failing to do so.

Are you sure you are talking about Israel? Who is bombing Israel on a daily basis and targeting schools, hospitals and places of innocent civilians? Didn't Israel warn the civilians to get out of the area before they attacked Hesbolah (not sure if I spelled that correctly) because the terrorists were purposely hiding in civilian areas? This is not news reporting. This article is way off base and lacking in any substantial evidence.

Tim King: That's funny Chris, we can't manufacture this kind of evidence; it is posted all over YouTube for anyone with a pair of eyes to see. We publish it, you are wrong.

Israel is not an apartheid state, because unlike South Africa Israel has made great efforts to reach an accomodation with the Palestinians. Unfortunately, they continue to demand more than Israel is willing to give. Not only control of half the holy city of Jerusalem, which Israel has agreed to in previous talks, but also the complete change of Israel's demographics, an attempt to force the state to accept millions of new Palestinian citizens, thus destroying Israel's integrity as a Jewish State. If the Palestinians would have dropped just that one demand in the negotiations in 2000, or 2005, or 2008, peace would've already been established. So stop attacking the only country in the Middle East that is actually a free and civil society and start working towards a truly effective settlement of this crisis.

Editor: Free as long as you are Jewish, did you forget that part? You really don't understand do you? You think that your apartheid is somehow different? Every offer made by Israel has been a documented, historical joke. Israel is charged with war crimes for murdering civilians with illegal weapons, a big long list of things, and you use the word 'attacking' to describe my reportage? Please, try harder next time. You sound like the Germans in the 30's defending the antics of Hitler, there is very little difference.
