(SALEM) - On Monday, Mar. 18 from 8:00 a.m. until Noon, YWCA Salem will host the “dental van” developed by Medical Teams International at the YWCA office, 1255 Broadway St NE (corner of Broadway and Market Streets). Dental van professionals give uninsured, low-income adults much needed dental services.

Dental appointments can be made by calling the YWCA in advance at 503-581-9922. Interested adults can also show up the morning of March 18 for an opportunity to be seen by a dentist.

“This is the first time we have hosted a clinic of this nature,” said Michelle Godfrey, YWCA’s Executive Director. “In the course of providing services to low-income families, a common request we get is for dental care help. Hosting the dental van was a solution for our own clients, but we know there must be others in the community who need help. So we are opening it up to anyone in the area who has a need for free dental care.”

Medical Teams International can provide dental services at no cost with the mobile clinic because of generous time donated by the volunteer dentists. The YWCA Salem gives thanks to Dr. William Bateman and these dedicated volunteers for their much needed time and service.
