Woman Arrested During Raids in Salem, Aumsville
Salem-News.comSeized in the raids were two pickups, financial records, vehicle titles, cash and computers.

(AUMSVILLE, Ore. ) - Linn County Sheriff deputies executed several search warrants in Marion County near Aumsville and Salem yesterday.
Addresses of the warrants included 7198 Lipscomb St. SE. Salem and 7223 Shaw Highway, Aumsville. Seized in the raids were two pickups, financial records, vehicle titles, cash and computers.
Linn County Sheriff Tim Mueller says all items were seized in connection with an investigation of an alleged embezzlement that occurred at Jeff King Construction 30126 Santiam Hwy in Lebanon, by a former employee.
Arrested was 42-year-old Quonna Bender. She listed her address as 7223 Shaw Highway in Aumsville.
Bender was lodged in Linn County Jail charged with 11 counts of Aggravated Theft 1 and one count each of Laundering Money and Computer Crime.
Her bail was listed at $126,000. Bender was released after posting bail. The investigation is continuing.

Why has there never been an article regarding her sentencing? Does anyone know how much she actually embezzled and for how long she was doing this? How much does she have to pay back - I would assume that Jeff King has put leins on everything she has her name on (vehicles, home, etc.) Does she have to do her 16 months in the Linn County jail or somewhere else? It seems that all of you are on 1 side of the fence or the other. There are 2 sides to everything. I was sick when I found out the rumors about Quonna were true. She's not the person I thought she was. If she had been fixing the books in Mr. Kings favor it still would have been wrong, but he would have been ok with that. Afterall his company knowingly lets his employees fudge on UA's (because they wouldn't pass), and 1 Forman has been listed on the Linn County most wanted list. Mr. King and the 'higher ups' know of this and insure he will not be apprehended by keeping him working out of state. So I guess they are hindering prosecution? He almost got caught locally (wish it had been me who turned him in), but was protected and escorted away quickly by another employee from the job site. Mr. King is ok with this kind of behavior because he and his company get something out of it, so he helps protect BVL from being held accountable. Quonna probably would have gotten a lot more if the County law inforcement didn't know so much about Mr. Kings business. He isn't as clean as he looks or portrays. He's a nice enough guy, but it's all about him and what he has. So no need to pity him, he's ok with lawbreakers as long as he is getting something out of it. I am sorry for Quonna, maybe she didn't know where her line was. She should have gotten a lot more time and restitution than she did, but under the circumstances, I am not surprised.

Yep, her mom worked right along with her, along with daughter Emilee. A civil suit has been filed against Quonna, Alan, both her parents of a couple of of children. Way to go Quonna, screw you whole family. I heard that Emilee had a totally fake resume made and got hired at the Wachovia Call center in Salem before she got named in the civil suit. I too heard that she got off on pleading guilty and gets to pay restitution, I didnt believe it for a second, I think this is what her family is trying to make people think. I also heard that the march 26 date was postponed. If you go to linn county courthouse you can look up the names for court appearances for the next day, gets a bit bothersome though, because they only post the very next days hearings.

No this is normal! If lawyers don't get what they want . they delay dates etc. This is just a hearing. Then there next court date is guilty or not guilty. Then there is a date for for trial. Please remember dates get moved all the time. Because of lawyers and Judges times etc. This will go on for even months or years. This will take a little time. I dont like it! But It is the best system we have in the world. But please remember there will be LOTS of dates. Don't believe the Bender lies they are telling people. They are just trying to cover up there BULL.

These people have it all wrong. It has nothing to do with the "Bender Family" This gal was not born into this family, she married in. She has a serious problem and is now coming to terms with it. As for putting down the "Bender Family" that is just wrong!!!! As for Jeff what I know of him as an Employer, he is great. I hope he can pull up his boot laces and move on from this. When it comes to Al and how could he not know, well Jeff is a very generous man and he was very generous with, at least office employees. It wouldn't surprise me if the money was claimed to be bonuses. I am really curious how the RELIGON got involved with this!! Just like the old say goes "YOU DO THE CRIME YOU PAY THE TIME"!!!! Did any of you stop and think that even if the police arrested Quonna that the might be looking at Jeff himself for wrongdoings he has done. He just delivered the proof to them by providing them Quonna. What goes around comes around and trust me Jeff will get his too. Living life higher the high Have any of you seen the show cribs that is what the benders were living like. Having more to show for then her own boss Jeff is just wrong. What about the tummy tuck and the new boobs, big diamonds. The cruises she took the extended family on EVERY YEAR. I am glad that her last memory was a cruise after it came out in the wash with the 25 family members she took on the trip. If I had a family member that would pay to take me every year on a trip I would stick up for them too. Now maybe the good people that she fired cuz of her crimes can be forgiven.

I believe that the Bender's will get what is coming. Living in this small town it is easy to know the Bender's. Not all are bad. It appears that the ones that shoot their mouths off the most and have no regard for other people and their property don't fall in this category. I suggest that Al and Quonna enjoy what time they have left with their devoted family and friends while they can. It gets real lonely in the big house. Why does religion and politics always have to be in any conversation when it is about the Bender's? Everyone wants to live the American dream and have all that we can have. Work hard and get a second job if you aren't meeting your expectations. It is not a situation where you were hurting and did something stupid to help your family. Toys and elaborate vacations are not necessary. I hope the family you stole from has it in their heart to forgive you. I can't say I would.

I know that none of you that are saying that they need to be prayed for have not picked up your bible because if you had you would have found that at Hebrews 10:26 it states "For if we practice sin willfully after having received the accurate knowledge of the truth, there is no longer any sacrifice for sins left." Wow, I cant believe the response this topic is getting, so I thought I might as well throw my 2 cents in. Its terrible to see the innocent ones that will pay for this wrongdoing. Yes you will see the do gooders telling you to pray and all that, but how long can you hide behind that facade "o well I will hide behind the option of forgiveness in the end". Well sorry but from someone on the outside looking in that dont cut it. I work my tail off to make it every day and at least I can go home at night and say I did it the honest way. And for all those that thinking that a little prayer and confession is going to make it better? I hope your right and you better hope its right at the end.......

And second why do we have self proclaimed christians saying to push it under the carpet. I dont think so. NO one here is doing any judging only stating the facts. Do you really care about the victims that were affected by this WILLFULL wrongdoing? YOU must be another that thinks confessing cures all. Sorry but faith by works cures wrongdoing so I guess time will tell right? I really hope the people who have nothing better to do than judge Quonna remember she has childern. She has babies who right or wrong love their mother. I also hope for all who are judging Quonna that God is more forgiving then they are. We all make mistakes- big or small and none of us have the right to judge. What happened to love, forgiveness and prayers? Is this how Jesus would behave? Pray for the Bender family especially the children. Second, all you good, self righteous christians need to remember what you were taught growing up in the church, you who judge first will be judged last! You need to remember what goes on in the coffesional is known of your business. If we are going to stoop that low, maybe you need to spend a little time in church, thinking about your own sins. As for the Bender family being the talk of the town, I guess thats what happens in a town full of small minded people who are so bored with their own existence, they need to talk about everyone else. These blogs are all an example of that, and its disgusting, and you should be ashamed of yourselves. Thank you to those who have enough sense to spend your time praying for them, instead of slandering them.

I seem to recall a Bible verse somewhere... something something 'throw the first stone.'I forget the first part, maybe JUSTICE down there knows-- 'He who can judge the harshest throw the first stone'? Like I said, I forget. What happened here is too bad, but fortunately it is none of your business so you Christians here can do yourself the favor of not being judgmental and moving on with the other more important things you've got to worry about... There was another verse somewhere in that big cryptic book, it ended with 'lest you be judged'... once again I'll leave you Christians who are much more devout and faithful than myself to fill in the blanks...

There is a difference between a willfull wrongdoing and a mistake. Willfully this crime was done and so many have been affected negatively. Many people have been hurt by one couples selfish act.And whats bad is it has been going on for years,according to talk of the town.If this family thinks its allright what about all their other family members associated with them.Does their church tell them its allright.
