Divesting from Wall Street, Investing in our Communities: A Panel
Discussion on Boycotts, Divestment, and Public Banking.
Tuesday, March 13th at 6pm
Portland State University Smith Memorial Student Union Room 333

Students United for Palestinian Equal Rights, The Portland Central
America Solidarity Committee and The Oregon Working Families Party
proudly present a panel discussion on investing in human need, not
corporate greed. Three local activists will present on their
inspiring campaigns to boycott and divest from Wall Street interests
who profit from the illegal occupation of Palestine, and the
criminalization of immigrants, and to create a publicly-owned bank to
invest in people over profit.

Wael Elasady, co-founder of Students United for Palestinian Equal
Rights (SUPER) will discuss the Portland Boycott, Divestment and
Sanctions Campaign to end Israeli Apartheid. In the tradition of the
Anti-Apartheid Movement in South Africa, the campaign creates mounting
international pressure against Israel to end the illegal occupation of
Palestine by boycotting private interests who profit from the
occupation.

Jake Dacks of the Portland Central America Solidarity Committee
(PCASC) will speak on the national campaign to to pressure Wells Fargo
to divest from GEO Group, the private prison company who runs the
Northwest Detention Center

Face of violence in Gaza

on behalf of U.S. Immigration and Customs
Enforcement (ICE).

Sami Alloy, an organizer with the Oregon Working Families Party will
discuss the campaign for an Oregon State Bank, what it would mean, and
what successful public banking models already exist in the United
States. Sami will also discuss the Oregon Banks Local campaign, a
statewide coalition that provides resources and solutions for
individuals who want to move their money away from Wall Street banks.

Please forward this invitation widely and join this event on facebook

I like to go ther and talk about justice for Israel. That she has the right to defend herself against terrorists.

Editor: Palestinians have a right to defend themselves from terrorists too, but if they kill one Israel attacks then tenfold.  Israel is a war crime state.

Go buy Israeli goods, give Israel everything they need including weapons to kick their butts. Hell with "social justice". Its just another word for liberalism.

Editor: Jesus was liberal, oh wait... that doesn't sway you does it.  Murderer supporter.

I see some Muslim student inthe picture. Is she even an American or some exchange student getting an education paid by my taxes? Why doesnt she go and live in a Muslim backward Country where all the woman have to wear a trashbag around her head?

Editor: Well here she has a real trash head- and your friends also.  Why don't you go to Israel and stay there, we hate people like you living in America, you are a hazard and an evil.

Hope you are not offended because I am offended every time these liberals call for the boykott of Israel goods, CAIR shuts down web sites because they are telling the truth, take our first amendment away and in the Whit house running our Country with our Kenya born President who hates Israel, loves terrorists and hates America

BOYCOTT ISRAEL FREE PALESTINE!  Don't let the child killers in Israel get away with anything!
