(FRISCO CITY, AL) - I am writing in honor of a friend of mine's grand kids. They both suffer from Spinal Muscular Atrophy. They are having their 2nd Annual Walk-n-Roll for SMA in honor of Alexus & Zane Saturday, April 26th, 2014. I am writing to see if any of you would like to donate to the SMA foundation in their honor. The SMA has been very helpful to Becky and Edward Dick, the parents of Alexus and Zane.

The family is also preparing cook books with southern recipes for sale in April. The cook books will be $20. If you would like to order one, let me know and I will let Becky know.

I am not sure if you saw it but I made a special Christmas video for Alexus this past December. I also made her a couple of Christmas CDs and sent them to her. She loves Christmas music. I will include the link to it below plus the link to to the Walk-n-Roll.

They moved from down here in Alabama about 5 yrs ago to New Jersey so they could be close to the Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia for better treatment facilities. Since then, they have another daughter, Ava, who is very healthy and turning into a wonderful child. Ava just turned 1 yrs old in October and is already trying to help take care of her older siblings.

Becky's mother moved up there from here in November to help her with the kids. About a month later, Alexus had breathing complications and she had to be admitted to CHOP for over 2 weeks.

The family was recently honored with an all expense paid trip to Disney World.
