Limbaugh: Shoving Women's Rights Backward in Time

Republicans thought they could silence us by refusing to let Georgetown law student Sandra Fluke testify on their all-male panel on birth control coverage. They were wrong.

(WASHINGTON DC) - Yesterday, while Rush was launching his latest vile attack on women who dare to speak up for our reproductive rights, he mentioned my e-mail to you on Wednesday night. I’ll spare you the details on his latest misogynistic rant, but it’s clear that he thinks he can shame us into silence.

Shockingly, the only ones silent about Rush’s hateful tirade are Congressional Republicans like GOP Leader Eric Cantor. Let’s call them out:

Help us reach 250,000 signatures today on our petition demanding Eric Cantor and House Republicans denounce Rush’s heinous attacks on women

Republicans in Congress thought they could silence us by refusing to let Georgetown law student Sandra Fluke testify on their all-male panel on birth control coverage. They were wrong.

Your grassroots response is already making headlines from ABC News to the Huffington Post. As Sandra put it yesterday:

"The millions of American women who have and will continue to speak out in support of women's health care and access to contraception prove that we will not be silenced."

Don’t let Republicans in Congress get away with a "no comment" on Rush’s outrageous smears. Either they’re okay with his vile attacks on women or they’re not.

This is simply a distraction. The left does not want to boast of their legislative record, the economy, jobs, the price of gas, etc. Pretty sure between now and November it will be more of the same. I see Rush apologized today for his "choice" of words. Probably a tactical move on his part. He will just get stronger and this may become the ignition fire for other conservative movements. Obama will be toast in a very clear way by September, and that is what worries me. He may attack Iran, and if a republican wins the Whitehouse there will be no attack. Iran only challenges the weak. Keep your fingers crossed, we do not want a war nor do we want large scale voter fraud that the left is so apt at doing.

Small government ,return to the constitution ,untill the right wing nuts want to cram thier beliefs down your throaght. No talk of the constitution and the rights of others. If you dont believe in birth control dont use it and mind your own beeswax.

Rush rocks and he laughs all the way to the bank via his private jet. At least he pays his own way.
THINK MAHER!! Who called Governor Palin a "Twat", a "bitch" and a "Cu-t!" ALL RECORDED. Where was the DCCC and the NOW gang? They don't care about women's issues, just political leverage.
After Fluke's testimony, Limbaugh lambasted the student on his radio show following the hearing.

"What does it say about the college co-ed Sandra Fluke, who goes before a congressional committee and essentially says that she must be paid to have sex? What does that make her?" Limbaugh said. "It makes her a slut, right? It makes her a prostitute. She wants to be paid to have sex. She's having so much sex she can't afford the contraception. She wants you and me and the taxpayers to pay her to have sex."
So what do most people do? They pay their own way and take responsibility for their own behavior. Look how government enlarges their presence into your private lives.

Editor: Rush does rock, because Rush is a band.  Limbaugh is an American embarrassment and a sign of the times, an indication of what is wrong with this place and little else.

I can only wonder why you posted the above fantasy? Rush simply quoted this "slut" and the idiots at the dccc, it was their own words. Rush has over 20 million listners at any one time, he is not a stupid man, so the far left keeps trying, and as usual they will fail. Salem-news should be ashamed for putting this bs out. Really dumb and non-professional. Unethical!

Editor: ha ha, good one!
