Save the Museum of Science and Industry

MoSI is an engaging place to learn about the role of the North in the Industrial and Scientific changes to the world and to lose it would be a great, great shame.

(YORK, UK) - The Museum of Science and Industry is one of the most important educational facilities in the country, educating young and old on the industrial and scientific changes to the world.

Manchester is a city at the heart of the Industrial Revolution and to close down a museum about the changes brought about in this great city would be a ridiculous idea. I, like many people from many generations, have visited the MOSI and have been engaged in the history of science and industry, both locally in Manchester and it's greater impact on the world.

The proposal to close the MOSI, as well as the possibility of closing the National Media Museum in Bradford or the National Rail Museum in York, would be depriving younger (and older) generations access to education facilites so vital to our understanding of technological, scientific and cultural changes within Britain.

MoSI is an engaging place to learn about the role of the North in the Industrial and Scientific changes to the world and to lose it would be a great, great shame.
