(UPDATE) Two Girls Struck by Car

A third girl, the patient's older sister, was also on scene but was not injured as she was not hit by the vehicle.

(OREGON CITY OR) - The two sisters injured in the earlier reported traffic accident are identified as 6 year old Willa Stewart and 10 year old Hadley Stewart. Both girls reside with their parents at 1110 Washington Street in Oregon City. The driver of the car involved is 86 year old Monte Thoen of Milwaukie, Oregon.

Just after noon today two young girls were struck by a car while crossing the street in down town Oregon City.

Clackamas Fire Engine 15 arrived to find two female patients ages 7 and 10 down on the ground.

The 10 year old girl had minor injuries and was taken to OHSU by American Medical Response (AMR) in good condition.

The 7 year old girl suffered life threatening injuries after being struck by the vehicle and was taken to OHSU by AMR in serious condition.

The patient's older sister was also on scene but was not injured as she was not hit by the vehicle.

The incident occurred at the intersection of 10th and Main Street in Downtown Oregon City.

The driver of the car was a an elderly man who remained on scene.

The driver was not injured in this collision. Oregon City Police are in the process of investigating.
