(EUGENE, Ore. ) - Head coach Kat Mertz and the Oregon women’s soccer team have announced their 2014 schedule, which consists of 19 total matches.

UO’s schedule features 10 matches at Papé Field and seven contests slated to be televised by the Pac-12 Networks.

Oregon posted a 4-12-3 record last year while notching four wins at Papé Field and five shutouts. Mertz and the Ducks will return a wealth of talent for the upcoming season, returning as many as 9-of-11 starters, while welcoming 12 newcomers.

The Ducks will kick off the 2014 season and the second year under Mertz with a pair of fixtures in Madison, Wis., at the Wisconsin Tournament.

UO will open with the Badgers of the Big Ten on Aug. 22nd, meeting Wisconsin for the second straight season. Two days later, the Ducks will take on Milwaukee in a neutral match in Madison.

The Ducks will then host the Oregon Nike Tournament as West Coast Conference foes Saint Mary’s and Loyola Marymount travel to Papé Field. UO will meet the Gaels on Aug. 29 before hosting the Lions on the 31st. Oregon will also host Eastern Michigan on Sept. 5 and Cal State Fullerton on Sept. 7 before closing the nonconference slate on the road against two familiar foes.

Oregon will make the quick trip up I-5 on Friday, Sept. 12, to battle Portland State. The Ducks also meet BYU on Sept. 18, in Provo, Utah, in a rematch of last year’s thrilling draw at Papé Field.

The Ducks open Pac-12 action on Sept. 25, hosting Washington in Eugene, Ore. The game will be televised live by the Pac-12 Networks and will kick off at 4 p.m. (PT).

UO will have a busy slate in October, which will consist of eight fixtures; at Arizona State (Oct. 3), at Arizona (Oct. 5), Utah (Oct. 10), Colorado (Oct. 12), at Washington State (Oct. 19), USC (Oct. 24), UCLA (Oct. 26) and at Stanford (Oct. 30). UO’s final away match of the season will be on Sunday, Nov. 2, in Berkeley, Calif., against the Cal Bears.

Mertz and the Ducks will close the 2014 regular season with the annual Civil War meeting with Oregon State. This year’s installment of the rivalry will take place in Eugene on Friday, Nov. 7, at 3 p.m. at Papé Field. The match will be televised live by the Pac-12 Networks.

In full-sided exhibition games this spring, UO posted a 3-0-1 record while outscoring its opponents by an 11-2 margin.

The Pac-12 Networks will broadcast 69 women's soccer matches this season.
