Proxy Wars

Today we have a new crop of Messianic warriors who have taken on the mission in the name of western democracy.

(LONDON) - The Messianic warriors are at work again. Their mission is not to spread the word of God, though that is their cover, but to serve their own God; the God of Mammon, greed and avarice.

This is not new. It’s been an ongoing process since the advent of the Industrial Revolution when the British ruled the world and the English firmly believed that God was an Anglo Saxon. It was the Empire on which the sun never set or, as some said, 'the blood never dried'.

As Cecil Rhodes, founder of Rhodesia, now known, less egotistically as Zimbabwe, put it, “We are the finest race in the world and the more of the world we inhabit the better it is for the human race.”

The effect of this largesse on the countries Rhodes and his fellow adventurers conquered from India, across Africa, the Middle East and the Far East was of little consequence. ‘But look, we gave them railways’ they explained.

This superiority complex has never waned. Today we have a new crop of Messianic warriors who operate on a different level and under a different guise. The likes of Tony Blair, George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, Richard Perl, Paul Wolfowitz, aka the ‘Neo-Cons’ along with press baron Rupert Murdoch have taken on the mission in the name of western democracy.

The fact that this democracy may not have been solicited or wanted and comes at the point of a gun or a cannon shell is not important. The accompanying devastation that these state-of-the-art weapons inflict on the land and the people is justified as collateral damage.

“But hey, we’re here to liberate you and bring youdemocracy,’ they explain.

The devastation is not particular to one country. It has spread all over the Middle East. These messianic warriors tell their fellow citizens that they are doing it to protect the western way of life; that the terrorists of the world, as they put it, ‘are coming to get you, and before they do we will undertake a pre-emptive strike to stop them in their tracks.’

Nothing could be further from the truth. The reason these messianic warriors are creating havoc around the world is not to serve their fellow citizens or their countries. They have another God whose alter they pray at. This new God is known as Zionism.

Zionism is not exclusive to the Jews. Christian Zionists are every bit as venomous and dangerous. If not more. When the Neo-Cons took America into wars against Iraq and Afghanistan it was not to get rid of The Taliban in Afghanistan or Sadam Hussein in Iraq. It was dictated to them by a higher authority in Tel Aviv.

The main aim of these messianic warriors is to keep Israel strong and to keep the rest of us in the Middle East fragmented, divided and at each other’s throats.

Despite the bloodletting and savagery unfolding daily in Iraq, Palestine, Libya and Syria, Tony Blair, former Prime Minister of the UK and now ironically called the ‘peace envoy to the Middle East’, has washed his hands of any responsibility for the ongoing tragedy in the Middle East. The decision by him and Mr. Bush in the White House to depose Sadam Hussein and go into Iraq in 2003 had nothing to do with the chaos, devastation and unimaginable human suffering that is going on today.

I did wonder why we have not been given a glance at the findings of the Chilcot report, which was commissioned by the then British Prime Minister, Gordon Brown in June 2009 to investigate the calamity, lies and fabrications that lead us into that unnecessary war in Iraq 11 years ago.

Perhaps the fact that Sir Jeremy Heywood, now British Cabinet Secretary but then Blair’s private secretary, appears to be blocking the evidence of pertinent Cabinet discussions and some 130 telephone conversations that took place at the time between Blair and Bush. There is also a convention in Britain that protects a PM’s dealings with an American President. With all this in place how could we ever get to the bottom of what really transpired?

But the wars in Iraq, Libya, Syria and elsewhere in the Middle East were necessary. They were proxy wars waged by America and its allies on behalf of a superior authority at the helm in Israel.

Long before 9/11 changed our world beyond recognition, the chapter concerning Iraq had already been written.

‘For evil to flourish it only takes a few good men to look the other way.’
